GOP declares banning free and reduced school lunches to be a priority.

Knowing about it and doing something about it. We need to vote in a Congress that ensures us that abortion will be, once again, legally available everywhere. Make it a law so tight that SCOTUS can never "reinterpret" it again.
In the meantime we must look about in our communities to identify and meet needs.

The issue you are going to run into here is that abortion, in this case, could very likely end up as a constitutional issue (ie: right to life) and Congress can't do a hell of a lot about that short of an amendment. I tend to take the position that this country is largely done with constitutional amendments as well, so its a mess.

The fundamental issue is that both parties don't want to actually resolve issues. They would rather lie to you to keep you donating and screaming rather than resolving an issue.

The resolution for abortion is pretty damned clear. ~85% of the nation agrees that abortion should be legal up to ~14-16 weeks, no question, and then with a medical risk exemption. That won't happen though because both sides are so polarized they would rather fight about an extremist position that will never advance.

Love thy neighbor. Seems they like to forget about that one. The perverting of that religion to suit their political agenda is sickening, like looking the other way when their cult leader pays a porn star for adulterous sex acts.
I'm wondering how this (the tread topic) will go over in, say, Mississippi?
Matthew 7:12, Luke 6:31, Matthew 25:40.

As for trans people, Matthew 19:12.
12 For there are eunuchs who were born that way, and there are eunuchs who have been made eunuchs by others—and there are those who choose to live like eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. The one who can accept this should accept it.”

Donald Trump treats the Seven Deadly Sins like a to-do list and they cheer for him. Trump is saying the quiet parts of their racism and bigotry oput loud and they have found their leader.

The vast majority of these hypocrites and racists would claim to be victim of religious persecution if they were required to live by the teachings of the man who they claim to be the son of god and the perfect savior, as recorded in the 4 gospels.

A kid can gorge itself on ramen noodles and other cheap and unhealthy stuff.

See my previous comments, shitty parents are shitty parents.

It's not about the funding, it's about the parents in that respect.

I am far from religious or a theologian, but that doesn't seem particularly applicable. It is talking about people who are castrated or born with a birth defect, not necessarily mentally ill people who want to self mutilate, particularly with respect to minors.

I really don't think ignorance is bliss--it's just a way to get an unexpected slap in the face one could have seen coming if they were informed.

I'm identifying the need to vote Democratic because the GOP has decided that amongst the zillion other awful plans they have this country--taking food away from hungry children helps me make that decision.

I think voters should really be informed and I'm absolutely positive you do too :)

Again, most progressive tax code in the world, with the highest median household income of any major nation, with welfare spending that rivals that of EU nations.

The lower and middle class have effectively no tax burden while receiving government largesse that rivals anything in the world.

Cry more though.

I think there is a legitimate point of helping people versus enabling people. We have long passed a point where government programs and support systems, along with societal structure, is enabling poor decisions and poor responsibility. That's a pretty big problem. I don't think most Americans have a problem with helping someone with a hand up, but they do have a problem with long duration hand outs based on poor decision after poor decision.
I think your vision of welfare is outdated. Bill Clinton made some changes you should investigate. Research how people get on SNAP and how those benefits are used. Research school meal programs and how they're used and operate.

That would be very helpful to you in modern debates.

I understand your enabling point, and there may be poor decision after poor decision, but the cause of many of those decisions can be quite loaded, especially with political failures.

I don't see why these lazy 7 year olds don't have jobs? Didn't the GOP recently bring back child labor? Freeloadin' kids, the free lunch is OVER! Get a damn job kindergarteners!

(Above is an example of GOP compassion, brought to you by Republican Jesus)

You get a BINGO! for that last sentence. That is exactly it! Those most stubborn in support of Trump have proven their motivation to be racism and hatred, how very "Christian" of them.

SS has been going bankrupt because of the demographics more than anything else
Another silly lie. It is going bankrupt because we don't have the will to fund it. We have more than enough wealth to do so.

Such as through more bloated military spending and tax cuts for the uber-wealthy?
neither . I am for reducing military spending and we don't spend any money on tax cuts for the rich. That's just the lw propaganda sloganeering geared toward the non-thinking virtue signal crowd.

You didn't bother to look into what the GOP is proposing. Most most low info virtue signaler ( @BirdinHand ,@NolanVoyd ,et al) just saw the headline from a lw source and went right to the cliches( REPUBLICANS WANT TO TAKE FOOD OUT OF POOR KIDS MOUTHS)

For people like you, what these buffoons want to to do is right up your alley.

"FREE !!! FREE!! EVERYTHING IS FREE!!!! don't worry, you want have to sacrifice a thing!!! Musk , Bezos ,Walton ,and Koch will pay( after all they stole from you in the first place) Vote DEM!!! Everything is FREE and somebody else will pay!!!!" -Dem platform.

I think you are asking a bit much, given that dude's posts are willfully ignorant and an endless series of appeal to ridicule.

I agree, we should concentrate on protecting kids from psycho libs who want to chop the junk off little boys because they may have played with a Barbie doll.
Staying on topic seems to be an unreasonable burden for you.

Oh my, that was quite the little troll outburst.

I am tired of the graft and the abuse of the system and the theft of my money. So no their parents take responsibility or their children go hungry. Being nice means getting abused. **** that noise.
Wow.

"Your money"

I think you drastically overstate your contribution to this.
