GOP Debate March 3, 2016

The only thing here that bothered me was his insistence that he was open to ordering the military to commit war crimes, which he has now predictably disavowed. I think what we see here is that it is time for the pro's to start helping the peoples choice rather than fighting him.

So a bait-and-switch operation like Trump University gets a pass? Bush knew about 9/11 and chose to let it happen?

And all the bloviating lies. Mexico is not going to pay for the wall. Tarriffs are a horrible idea. You can't just bomb your way out of ISIS. These are 3rd-grade platitudes that have absolutely no meat on the bone. The world is far more complicated than some Tony Soprano yankee can comprehend.

We saw what Clinton, a cigar, and an intern did to the culture of our youth. (Hey, if it's OK for the president, anything goes!) Imagine the crap that kids will say if this yahoo is president.

There are unintended consequences to these things.

Trump is not managing the US military, he is building a populous movement to take over Washington (AKA "take back Washington").

All things at their right time.

Re Trump U: I think with his ego Trump was sure that the program would help people, that he was giving them something valuable for their money, when it turned out that too many people who did the deal did not think so he ended it. THis is not cool, he should have made sure that he gave value, but I dont care much. Fools and their money should be separated, I just wish it was not Trump who did it.

Ted Cruz represents the same thing, but with the intellect and capacity to actually accomplish the things you want. That choice I would understand, but not this Vince McMahon wannabe. This isn't pro wrestling.

Look at where putting alleged serious people in Washington has gotten us.

Trump is going to do worse than what we have had?

I doubt it.

EDIT: Ted Cruz, the guy who drove government shut downs to drive his career ambitions at great cost to the nation;

NEXT!

Let's not sell our soul and dignity in the process. Setting the country on fire isn't going to defeat ISIS or fix the economy.

I share your sentiments, but not your answers.

Here's my perfect wish. Rubio for President, Kasich for Vice President, Cruz for Supreme Court Justice to replace Scalia, Christie for Attorney General, Carson for Surgeon General, and John Bolton for Secretary of State.

Boom.

Says the guy who supports the POTUS chair seeker who far more than Trump has shown a willingness to set the country on fire (Cruz), and who wants as president a guy who is on most things more extreme than Trump and is more immature than Trump (Rubio).

I agree and believe you are right about the most ardent supporters. And no, there is no "right person" to unleash the attack, probably because the over-all gist of Trump's message is about the failure of the Republican caucus and the failure of the system.

The management of that caucus has slipped from it's control elements - the establishment - and they have themselves to blame for that. They didn't just underperform. They didn't perform at all. Yes, it could've been worse had they all just gone home, but nobody can fail to see that their presence only improved things at the margins. We deserve better. We all deserve better. I don't think Trump is better, but I do agree that he's different than anything the media and establishment on both sides of the political aisle have encountered in the recent past. Trump had better be prepared. The establishment and the media will find a way to go after him. They're a lot of unpleasant things, but they aren't stupid - and they have a monopoly that Trump has challenged.

hasn't petraeus suffered enough

The point isn't Petreaus per se, it's just my thinking his Schtick is to buck the establishment, and it wouldn't fit to do an establishment thing like pick a primary opponent as VP
