BERLIN (Reuters) - Germany’s foreign minister said on Monday Europe could not rely on Donald Trump and needed to close ranks after the U.S. president called the European Union a “foe” with regard to trade.

Trump supporters do NOT understand this one thing:
Trump over the decades has made a business of making enemies, all while aligning himself with questionable individuals.

Trump still has the same MO but now Trump is POTUS and is doing the above on an international level as potentially the most influential person alive.

I really do not understand why Trump supporters are OK with alienating our allies & aligning our nation with adversaries.

Mr. Trump's track record indicates that he simply doesn't give a damn about what happens to any enterprise that he has been involved in once he has made his "personal profit" and moved on. It also indicates that, even if he knew that he were to "take his personal profit out and leave" that would cause the enterprise to crash and burn, he would still "take his personal profit out and leave".

Absent the completely unlikely amending of the Constitution of the United States of America to allow Mr. Trump to hold more the office of President of the United States of America for more than two terms, Mr. Trump will "take his personal profit out and leave" no later than 2024 (although a man who was as much a stable genius as Mr. Trump would be making provisions to ensure that he could "take his personal profit out and leave" in 2020 - just in case).

ever since Snowden opened my eyes to how America regards Europe and it's people you have the NSA in conjunction with Echelon, GCHQ spy on EU citizens, governments and business (to help their own businesses and steal tech from EU companies and they talk about the Chinese and their theft of US tech rank hypocrisy) upload malware to power grids to crash them if the US decides to do so .... no these are not the actions of a friend or a foe those are the actions of a enemy and it's lap dog in London ... all this was under the great saint Obama's watch

Considering that the amount that the US spends on European defence is statistically insignificant, the other NATO members just might tell Mr. Trump that they really don't care if he takes his bat and ball and goes home while they play soccer.
