GDP grew at a 6.9% pace to close out 2021, stronger than expected despite omicron spread

Back to the thread topic, such great economic results according to you and the left but the American people still don't feel it and here is why. Liberal gov't spending and failure to address supply issues remains the cause.
please explain in detail, with citation, how this is the cause?

Back to the thread topic, as pointed out the American people aren't feeling these so called great economic results thus the 38% approval rating on the economy and here is why

approval ratings are not the thread topic.

Mask mandates, vaccine mandates, Vaccine card mandates.
None of those are in place in NJ.

Thought you were smarter than this, Still no solutions to the problems in your state, not surprising, keep making those excuses. Florida seems to have it figured out providing incentives for relocating particularly with police. Your claims that your state is considering reducing property taxes hasn't generated the results as people continue to flee your state and that lowers demand and it is demand that creates jobs.
So to shift this to a broader spectrum than just blue states, what is it that Texas hasn't figured out that has it with the second highest unemployment rate out of GOP led states? Florida is indeed doing better, and it has quite a few blue cities. Alaska is GOP led but has the highest unemployment rate out of GOP led states. The rest of your rant is more broken record nonsense.

This entire argument of yours is typical liberal spin and excuse making.
Not at all. It's delving into the issue rather than being a parrot of bumper sticker slogans. Once faced with facts, you then deflect like sun visor. Interestingly enough, thus far you have been making excuses with your "b..b..b..but blue cities!" nonsense. So again, if it is blue cities that are the problem, what has Florida figured out that Texas hasn't.

Diverting to TX is nothing more than a ploy to keep from recognizing your own state's problems. Suggest you solve your before trying to solve others. TX is doing that but again basic civics is ignored by you which again is why you voted for Biden blaming Trump for poor response to Covid. Higher than normal unemployment is due to Covid reaction in this state, Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, Austin, El Paso all million population cities and all with Democrat Mayors 178,000 unemployed alone in Houston, the fourth largest city in the nation.

It's not diverting; it's expanding the scope to just the narrow one you set out. If Texas had very low unemployment compared to blue states, then the claim of me deflecting would be more accurate but since we're talking about a ~1.3 - 1.5% difference between Texas and the blue states you mentioned, it's more than fair to consider this. Texas is not doing significantly better compared to say Nebraska, Utah, Oklahoma to name a few.

Great, then the high unemployment is an anomaly. There isn't anything in NJ that is pro private sector

Inflation isn't the thread topic, but sure, let's talk about inflation. It's definitely going to be an issue for the Democrats in 2022. What would be interesting to know is whether the same people who aren't happy with inflation are the same people who spent the money that came in from the government. As we know from existing data, much of the money went to mostly day to day items or paying down debt. Given what we know about how it was spent across income levels, it does seem like a good chunk of it was used to help people get by.

Inflation is the major component of the GDP so yes it is a part of the thread. Further did you have a solution to the pandemic? Solutions are the key here and you offer none

The Covid economic shutdown was bipartisan so tell me how people benefit from economic policies not allowed to go back to work. Biden had the vaccine for the entire year 2021 and told you that he would shutdown the virus, did that happen? Stop making excuses as that is what you claimed Trump did.

Talk about that good will to the American people

Biden made the vaccine available to all Americans in record time like he promised to do. He did shut down covid for most of us. The fact that the anarchists on the right failed to take the vaccine in a ploy to discredit Biden and disrupt our economy is the fault of the right and always will be. You are vaccinated thanks to Biden too.

I'm not sure what this means given that there are more than a fair share of large companies are headquartered here. It's also third on the list of pharmaceutical hubs in the country. One would think no of them would stay if the state was not "pro private sector" at some capacity.

I have some friends that live in New Jersey and really don't want to make this an issue however the growth in NJ is declining, major businesses are going to move out as your economy is starting the decline, there is no incentive to move to NY and creating incentive would be a solution.

Some contrary opinions for you

What these show is how out of touch with reality you are and how your opinions don't match reality

Biden wouldn't have a vaccine were it not for Project Warp Speed so don't give any more of your liberal bs. Biden is a disaster with worse Covid results than Trump without the vaccine. His incompetence is on display. Keep blaming someone else for the failures believing what the left tells you, Both R and D's are refusing the vaccine but you buy the rhetoric and would willingly give up your freedoms. I got the vaccine, both shots and got Covid so stop with the BS, I am still here

I'll take a page out of your "solutions" book:

People shouldn't get sick. There, pandemic solved!
🤭

Any other issues you'd like me to find solutions using your method?

7% Real GDP growth?

Conservatives: Wah! Inflation! Wah!
i don't know who told you it's only conservatives worried about inflation. most of the country is worried about it, and it's why Biden's numbers continue to tank.

Yours isn't the only state where people got sick, Looks to me your state response was the problem, what part of those articles I posted are false?

looks like your state response is also the problem. why is texas UE so high compared to the national average?

Gross State Product and business growth has been flat, so I wouldn't get on the decline bandwagon just yet. The challenge some states in the region are facing are the moves to other states where the overhead is cheaper for sure. The thing is what inevitably happens is those costs eventually end up repeating themselves elsewhere, so it's not a long term solution; it's just buying some time. We already see the higher cost of living that starts popping up due to shifts in population due to the pandemic, and it will continue as other places become more in demand.

Cities like Austin, Raleigh-Durham, etc. used to be cheap to live in but now rents and property values are much higher. The move of high wage earners will also drive up the salary requirements for professionals. I think it will be a challenge for states like NY and NJ in the short term because where people are centralized is changing, but I don't think it is the end of either areas because there are still a lot of benefits to living here that make the premium worth it for those who choose to live here.

The opinion piece about Mondelez I found pretty funny given that it was one of two locations it is closing:

Mondelez company statement said:
Both Fair Lawn and Atlanta are no longer strategic assets from a geographic footprint perspective and both face significant operational challenges, including aging infrastructure and outdated production capabilities, which would have required significant investment to bring them to the modernized state required for the future

So is Georgia not economically viable either, or is this part of a company strategy to not spend on rebuilding antiquated facilities?

Yours isn't the only state where people got sick, Looks to me your state response was the problem,
You keep going on about the state response when it is no longer a factor. More importantly though, it was one of the first states impacted in the first wave, and as such measures were taken to prevent even more spread. The state can't force people to do things they aren't inclined to do like travel etc.

what part of those articles I posted are false?
Two of those were about Mondelez, which based on the company's own statement also included another facility in Georgia. Based on their statement, the moves are for logistical reasons and to avoid having to spend a lot of money to rebuild antiquated plants. As for the advice CPAs are giving their clients, it is sound advice if it makes sense for their clients to do so. I'm sure if I were living in Texas or Florida, my CPA would advise me to live somewhere with a lower cost of living and tax rate.

The question is what the value is for the money, and for some it is tied to employment; that's where there's more flexibility nowadays because of remote work. The demand to be in this general region is still strong, and from a migration perspective NJ has lost .13% of its population. What is the bigger challenge is drawing people in, which is what has fallen flat.

I think "his" solution would be to not allow Dems to vote, to not have any sort of welfare, to round up homeless people (who are all obviously Dems) and deport them to California and make the US 49 states which would eliminate their electoral votes and better assure that if only non-Dems vote a true dictatorship. Banning food stamps, welfare, environmental protections, healthcare for those who can't afford it would go a long way to making "America Great Again" in the way that he remembers it from the 1950s. The crazy thing is I'm kidding but in reality "he" would agree with everything I suggested!

really need to stop making shit up after you've already been caught doing so.
The planes are landing at closed airports in the middle of the night because our sneaky leader didn't want the people to know just how bad he has failed. 15 planes just in small towns in the NE corner of PA. This is going on all over the country. I have talked to family and friends who have the same thing going on in their area. Only fools are being fooled by this underhanded crap. The real kicker is these people don't even know their own name. Nobody knows if they are vaccinated, tested, vetted, or even their right name. It is on to busses as quickly and quietly as possible before anyone figures out what their up to. When caught it is story time or I know nothing until a good lie can be made up.

So you ignored my post #1654 that completely disproved your conspiracy theory and reposted the lies above? How come? Did you miss that post? Here it is again and I await your concession that you were monumentally wrong :)

I have been following this story since it broke.

Sorry buddy but without proof your entire post is, in a word, BULLSHIT. It's obvious you're unable to provide proof for your conspiracy theory or you would have. Your one feeble attempt proved you wrong and now your entire rant is baseless BS that you can't prove. However, I can prove you wrong and all it took was that magic service, GOOGLE! You're about to be exposed as a conspiracy theorist who gets his news from....Fox News and the NY Post!

Claims of ‘ghost flights’ of ‘illegal immigrants’ don’t add up

If you are not a regular watcher of Fox News or a reader of the New York Post, Breitbart or the Daily Mail, you might be puzzled by the references above.
And:
In some cases, the news reporting appears to have mixed up the type of flights or not made it clear that HHS is sending unaccompanied children to relatives or sponsors.
And:
an ICE flight would be spotted, resulting in accusations that adults also were being secretly being shipped across the country. But these are just ICE detainees going to another detention facility, officials said.
And:
“HHS flights involving unaccompanied children are generally for the purposes of transferring children to a new federal facility or transporting them to the approved sponsor when the sponsor is not able to travel to a federal facility to receive the child,”
And:
The report added: “A former senior Health and Human Services official who served under Trump told CNN these flights also occurred during the Trump administration and at times, similarly, landed at late hours of the night.”
Now we know why you've not posted proof because the TRUTH does not agree with your conspiracy theory. You've been duped by Fox News and the NY Post with their typical misinformation.
