GDP grew at a 6.9% pace to close out 2021, stronger than expected despite omicron spread

a number of my employees are making more now due to turnover. my wife is a manager at a pretty big company and they're paying more now too (and also had some people leave/had to rehire and pay more).

sometimes it's a seller's market. sometimes it's a buyer's market.

I'll be starting a new position later this month making almost 25% than my current position, and I've seen a lot of people move on to other roles making more money as well. Typically we see turnover, but it's been pretty common now to hear about people moving positions and for more money.

Yep

It's happening all over.

I have been following this story since it broke. When the first plane was discovered it was claimed that no planes were landing in the middle of the night at closed airports. Then after several were discovered the story changed to they landed late because of delays. Then when it was discovered that they were scheduled to land when the airport was closed and they were loaded with illegals from the border we got this latest story. On top of that these children were not coming here to unite with their parents. These children arrived in this country without their parents. Very few if any of these children came with their parents. According to people at the airport these people didn't even know their name because they have all been given new identities so they cannot be vetted. Their parents were not here in PA and would only be here if they are brought here from somewhere else. Also how many planes for sure are only acknowledged as they are discovered. At first it was 1 plane then when several more were discovered they had to fess up to those. At last count we are at 15 planes have discovered landing in NE PA and not a single plane has landed at an airport that was open. We have lots of major airports that never close all around this part of the East Coast and doesn't it seem strange that non are able to accommodate a single plane over a period of months. The reason is they don't want the people to know what underhanded crap they are pulling. Just because they release lies to the media as they are caught is fooling only the fools.
Sorry buddy but without proof your entire post is, in a word, BULLSHIT. It's obvious you're unable to provide proof for your conspiracy theory or you would have. Your one feeble attempt proved you wrong and now your entire rant is baseless BS that you can't prove. However, I can prove you wrong and all it took was that magic service, GOOGLE! You're about to be exposed as a conspiracy theorist who gets his news from....Fox News and the NY Post!

Claims of ‘ghost flights’ of ‘illegal immigrants’ don’t add up

If you are not a regular watcher of Fox News or a reader of the New York Post, Breitbart or the Daily Mail, you might be puzzled by the references above.
And:
In some cases, the news reporting appears to have mixed up the type of flights or not made it clear that HHS is sending unaccompanied children to relatives or sponsors.
And:
an ICE flight would be spotted, resulting in accusations that adults also were being secretly being shipped across the country. But these are just ICE detainees going to another detention facility, officials said.
And:
“HHS flights involving unaccompanied children are generally for the purposes of transferring children to a new federal facility or transporting them to the approved sponsor when the sponsor is not able to travel to a federal facility to receive the child,”
And:
The report added: “A former senior Health and Human Services official who served under Trump told CNN these flights also occurred during the Trump administration and at times, similarly, landed at late hours of the night.”
Now we know why you've not posted proof because the TRUTH does not agree with your conspiracy theory. You've been duped by Fox News and the NY Post with their typical misinformation. I suggest that you actually go to vetted, trusted sources of news so you don't find yourself defending something that is, in a word, BULLSHIT!

Then you must not be familiar with the Blue Dog Democrats. As for being radicalized, how convenient that you leave out the GOP becoming a party that's pretty much a cult of personality group behind one man.

I did, and even provided the state's assessment of the areas where employment has lagged in this very thread, which makes it clear you didn't bother reading it and are again repeating the same question over and over again. I addressed the low approval rating as well, yet once again the same question is asked.

Yes you did, gave the typical excuses as a private sector business person you have a problem what do you do, make excuses or solve it. The problem is there, what is NJ doing to solve the problem? Other states don't seem to have that problem as they are getting employees to come back to work, wonder if you state taxes are too high, your demands on employees too high whether it be masks, vaccinations, liberal unemployment benefits?

Ran a business for almost 35 years and I would always find a way to solve problems never making excuses like you do on every thread

The problem is explaining what is causing a problem is making excuses; that's an absolutely daft conclusion. What exactly do you propose the state do to solve issues that are beyond its ability to solve in one fell swoop? People leaving low paying jobs and causing a shortage in those sectors for example; do you think the state should force people back into those jobs?

It's clear now that what you call "excuses" is your tactic to deflect from the more complex nature of issues, so when that's pointed out and it sinks your simplistic narratives, they become "excuses". Conversely, when your simple narratives are sunk and you need to make excuses, you call it "context".

So being part of a cult means supporting the Tax cuts putting me in control of my finances and thus able to help local charities? GUILTY!

No the problem is there are solutions to the problem so rather than claiming there is a problem, solve it, that is what business people do. Provide incentive for taxpayers to stay and business to move to NI, that isn't happening

It is only complex to people who are used to being told what to do and have someone else to blame or solve the problem. My simple narrative worked for me for 35 years, you have a problem, what is your solution to solve it?

Actually Gov. Murphy is aiming to lower property taxes in the states, which could very well be a good incentive for those who are leaving because of them. As for businesses moving to NJ, many have over the years when they left NY because of the increasing rents; it's what led to the boom in Jersey City.

No, it's complex to people who actually try to understand issues versus just making simplistic assessments. "There's a problem, so I fix it!" is a Captain Obvious statement, because to those finding the solutions it'a all about the "how".

Cult? What are you talking about?
Look it up and apply it to your liberal buddies

Aiming to lower property taxes?? ROFLMAO Many moving to NJ? Why would businesses move to NJ with the following

Here is what I understand, in business there are always challenges, problems, and opportunities. Good business people capitalizing by taking advantage of opportunity and solving problems. There is no incentive to move to NJ, no incentive for Businesses in NJ and the results just generate the same liberal excuses

Yep, lowering property taxes. That the state lost ~12k people is hardly the red flag you're making it out to be; especially since in that number are people moving for other reasons than high cost of living as cited in the opinion piece you provided. What business growth comes in the form of companies moving here remains to be seen post pandemic, because the nature of work has changed where the workforce needs to be.

As for why companies want to come here? Proximity to one of the largest cities in the world and access to a highly trained workforce is one of the drivers. In our area LG recently completed their North American headquarters, so it's not as if companies are not setting up shop here.

No incentive for you perhaps, but since you are not the collective intelligence of every business in existence, this means little and shows how overly simplistic you are in just about everything.

I know you love your state, congratulations but excuses are excuses and never solve problems

Except it has nothing to do with loving a state; it's a matter of having an honest discussion about the problems in a realistic way rather than just talking about them in a bumper sticker slogan manner. You often complain about other states yet don't address the ones in your own, which I already pointed out, has one of the highest unemployment rates compared to other red states; using that rather pointless comparative measure. Your answer is "B..B..BUT BLU CITIES!!" which doesn't mean much of anything since what impacted cities varied throughout the country.

That is what you do, discuss problems by making excuses, offer solutions as that is what a business person would do, not a radical liberal. What you and the left want to do is ignore the fact that there are blue cities in red states all implementing Blue Covid responses. TX has 30 million people unlike yours with 9.9 million and yes we currently have 717k unemployed which remains far better than NY and California as most of TX is open for business. 5% unemployment is still much lower than your state, NY, California! Job gains in January are going to come mostly from blue states which have the furthest to go

I'd like to say I'm surprised that to you "context" = "excuses", but given your penchant for hypocrisy, it's expected. Saying people should get back to work isn't a solution, it's just another notch on the "Well thanks, Captain Obvious!" list you seem to be compiling. You're clearly not informed about NJ because there are no mandates right now impacting businesses, and I can say that as a small business owner who would need to know this.

Also, a 1.3% difference in unemployment isn't "far better" or "much lower", considering that Texas has the highest unemployment of all the red states except for Alaska. Texas' unemployment rate is closer to NJ, NY, and CA than it is to the state with the lowest unemployment rate: NE. Even by the faulty standards you construct, the facts trip your premise up.

In one breath you say blue states don't have solutions to unemployment, and in another you complain that blue states are the largest contributors to job gains.

Conservatives lost the right to call anything a cult.

Unless, of course, they are using the “takes one to know one” philosophy of political debate

The "b...b..but blue cities in red states!!" excuse is always funny to read no matter how many times its repeated. Here's a tidbit to show how flawed this reasoning is: the county with the highest unemployment rate in NJ is Cape May, which interestingly enough voted for the former president in the 2020 election. It is GOP country with no blue cities to speak of.

Again reality doesn't exist in your world what states/cities have the most stringent Covid policies

Please elaborate on the stringent COVID policies in the state in which I live and do business. Many of the restrictions were lifted last June and have not been implemented for just about all activities. I eagerly await to hear about these existing policies.

Mask mandates, vaccine mandates, Vaccine card mandates. Thought you were smarter than this, Still no solutions to the problems in your state, not surprising, keep making those excuses. Florida seems to have it figured out providing incentives for relocating particularly with police. Your claims that your state is considering reducing property taxes hasn't generated the results as people continue to flee your state and that lowers demand and it is demand that creates jobs.

This entire argument of yours is typical liberal spin and excuse making. Diverting to TX is nothing more than a ploy to keep from recognizing your own state's problems. Suggest you solve your before trying to solve others. TX is doing that but again basic civics is ignored by you which again is why you voted for Biden blaming Trump for poor response to Covid. Higher than normal unemployment is due to Covid reaction in this state, Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, Austin, El Paso all million population cities and all with Democrat Mayors 178,000 unemployed alone in Houston, the fourth largest city in the nation.

Back to the thread topic, such great economic results according to you and the left but the American people still don't feel it and here is why. Liberal gov't spending and failure to address supply issues remains the cause.

Ask not what your country can do for you but rather what you can do for your country, huh? When JFK and his generation were asked, they risked their lives to win World War II. Now, we merely ask conservatives to just wear a mask and get vaccinated for the good of the country, and they say, NO.
Back to the thread topic, as pointed out the American people aren't feeling these so called great economic results thus the 38% approval rating on the economy and here is why
