The "traditional" heterosexual marriage divorce rate is about 50%* and they managed that in the absence of legalized gay marriage.

If someone argued against tax breaks for interracial marriages, would you support that? What about someone who only thought Christian marriages should get tax breaks, would you support denying tax breaks to Jewish, Hindu or Muslim couples who get married?

If straight marriages get tax breaks, gay marriages should get tax breaks, unless you believe the government should actively favor certain people over others, which is often a form of tyranny.

There have been several dictatorships and unjust societies that thrived on favoring some people over others. Sounds like that is what you support, not small government.

Because I don’t agree that 2 members of the same sex meet the definition of marriage. While the definition of marriage indeed has changed I don’t acknowledge it.

Yet I have no issue if guys and girls want to have relationships with one another. Let freedom ring. But I refuse to entertain their unions as marriage.
