Newsom has recently been focused on bolstering his creds on the national and global stages, but slacking on his duties and responsibilities as governor.

He should be working to: lower housing costs for Californians (highest median cost of housing in the nation), remedy the homeless crisis (worst in the nation), and getting the cost of gasoline under control (the highest in the nation).

Newsom has many problems to tackle in California, but true to form, he ignores them and insteard works on his global image. Naturally, Newsom's poll numbers are in the shitter, and going lower as he shirks his duties and responsibilities as Governor.

I guess the Dems will have to hold on to Joe Biden then.

Oh no!

This means some other democrat might be the California governor!

Good thing that Newsom cannot legally run for governor again or else he would be in big trouble.

One thing that has made California RE so expensive is that property taxes are kept low by Proposition 13. Are you for repealing Prop 13?

I think we have grown too reliant on polls.

It should be noted that Mike Pence was doing poorly in Indiana polls as an incumbent governor and was still selected as Trump's VP. Granted, VP isn't the top of the ticket, but I think it's worth noting that how a candidate fares in his own state isn't always indicative of national strength, and that cuts both ways.

In any case, Newsom didn't necessarily stand out as the candidate who could replace Biden on the ticket. I was sorta thinking along the lines of Gretchen Whitmer and Cory Booker. Andy Beshear now has to be considered a possibility for national office at some point, though I'd rather he run for Senate in 2026.

He's been a bad governor.

49% approval is in the shitter?
P01135809 never reached that number. Still call it shitty?

Ultra liberals and their polices have fallen out of favor due to the poor results they bring.

For for so many to judge California Democrats as deluded, incompetent and woke socialists, one would think that the GOP ought to be able to attract a strong following here as a hood-government alternative.

Instead, “no party affiliation” leads Republicans in voter registrations.

The CA GOP is failing badly.

The national GOP ain't doing so hot either.

Gavin Newsome has a Saturn Return for 2024 which may effect his Gubernatorial run.

He's top of the roster for 2028 with his 7.

He should withdraw from the Gubernatorial and focus on his 2028 run to have a better score show up.

He should contact me and get it straight.

2028 rules into the millennial reign of the White Horse (2020-2030.5).

The first critic in a letter to the editor, would seem to be satisfied if Newsom had built an oil refinery. No one invests in those.
What is happening is transition away from ICE power, leading the nation in its rapidity. G.O.P. is the fossil fuel party hbut none of its
patrons will build an oil refinery resulting in lwe pump price3s.

"Patrick-Bet David, Fox News".

Reminds me of Larry Elder, contender in a waste of money, recall of Newsom.

Elder was hyped as a serious threat. less than two years ago.

Lol as a Californian, I can’t help but feel like this doesn’t describe Newsom at all. It does apply to DeSantis, who is actively running for president.

The elephant in the room that everyone is ignoring is Newsom's inability to the do the job which voters elected him to do.

He failed as governor, so why should voters think he wouldn't also fail as president? - or any other elected position? Inept is inept.

Who has time for polls? People who are retired or jobless and have nothing else to do? I've been receiving repeated texts asking whether I will support Joe Biden and I have deleted every one. I will support him at the polls. Who is actually participating in these polls?

Of course, because all the good people have already left California. The only ones left are the wokesters who want free handouts, so obviously theyll keep voting dem.

Republicans aren’t even running much for elected offices. It’s as if they’re most comfortable complaining, rather than doing the actual work of getting elected, and then creating legislation and policies. So much easier to blame rather than to do.

Blanket statements are often a mistake.
The only ones left are the wokesters who want free handouts,
That statement is beyond delusional. California is way down the list of government freebies.

They should vote red and wind up like West Virginia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Alabama, and Mississippi?

Facts have zero impact on conservatives. They live in a FoxNews/Pravda, H8 Radio fantasy world.

Why should they waste time and money when its obvious the dems have bribed the remaining ones in the state with freebies and propagandized them?

Wrong as usual. Theres something called individual responsibility and liberty, which is totally foreign to lefties.

There’s no individual responsibility within the CA GOP; they would rather complain and criticize than do the hard work of organizing and presenting a cogent political platform.
