Vitomir Maričić (Croatia) held his breath underwater for almost half an hour to claim the iconic record for longest time breath held voluntarily underwater (male).

On 14 June, he submerged his face beneath the water and floated in the same spot for an unbelievable 29 minutes 3 seconds, to take the record for longest time breath held voluntarily underwater (male).

Have to chuckle at the inclusion of voluntarily. Is there a record for longest time to drown someone?

I don't see how some can do it. So much training to build up to that. Your brain and organs have to be absolutely starving by that point.

Think I may have made 1-1 1/2 minutes as a kid in the pool.

I wonder how long this guy would have lasted if he was moving the whole time.

When I was a kid, I could hold my breath for three minutes while swimming the length of the pool underwater.
