Franklin Graham TV ad (1 Viewer)

Any Doors in there? This is the end...
Playlist on YouTube based on my activity. Never been to Spain just finished. Three dog night was awesome. Now one of my favorites, Can't find my way home the electronic version. Love the Doors. I think I will search for Soft Parade. Kind of the mood I'm in. Good recommendation though.

Makes Jimmy Swaggert look like an angel. 😆 🤣
Hey, I was a Jimmy Swaggart fan. Back in the day I would wake up cripplingly hungover on Sunday morning and watch TV evangelists. The healers were good entertainment but guys like Swaggart were professional. He could go for twenty minutes without notes and be crying at the end of it.

You too can be saved. Here is how Franklin Graham says that you can:

“ Hello, I’m Franklin Graham. Maybe your heart has been gripped by fear as millions of others have because of this coronavirus pandemic. But I want you to know that God loves you, He made you, and He created you. He knows everything about your life. You don’t need to be afraid. Jesus said, “I’ll never leave you nor forsake you.” If you’ve never invited Jesus Christ into your heart, if you’ve never trusted Him as your Savior, you can pray right now to do that. Just simply pray this prayer, “God, I’m a sinner. I’m sorry for my sins. I believe Jesus Christ is your Son. And I want to invite Him to come into my heart, into my life. I’m willing to trust Him as my Savior and follow Him as my Lord. And I pray this in Jesus’ name.” If you’ve prayed that prayer, call this number that’s on the screen, and do it right now. We’ve got someone who will pray with you, talk with you, encourage you. God bless. [The number given on the screen is 888-388-2683.”

He forgot to add at the end: “BTW, I may be asking you for money, too. It takes dollars to maintain my private jet and my big huge house.”

Donations to support a campaign, is just the norm.....................even for evangelists.
You don't expect a preacher to devote his time and energy.....................and not have anything to live on.
You don't expect him to shoulder all the expenses of running a ministry - like, such expensive ads and reach-out projects!

You don't expect him to travel to the other end of earth on his own dime.
Lol - when will he ever get there? 😁

Even in the Bible - people provide support to the prophets and priests in God's temple!

Our present time is quite different from ancient time.
We operate using money!
What more in campaigning!
Look at the Democrats - how many billions they spent on Hollywood celebrities and ads, in their effort to achieve their goal!

Spreading Christianity, is a continuous campaign, reaching out to the far corners of the earth!!

Reputable evangelists like Graham, would need transportation to get to other parts of the world. I can see why a private jet is a must for speaking engagements, among other things.
Much like a private jet is a must for Al Gore when he preaches his climate change to far places!

It's a contradiction with Al Gore, isn't it? Preaching against fossil fuels, and yet jetting around!

It is short-sighted when we criticize an evangelist for having a private jet.
Private transportation are a means to save time for many folks - not just evangelists.

Of course, there are those who are frauds - those who are in it for the money.......................but, let's not lump them all together just because an evangelist is asking for donations, and because many people donate to him.

In Billy Graham's case, it's the classic, "damn if you will, and damn if you don't."

Graham can't win with determined Christian bashers!
Graham can't win with watsup!

Even when he wasn't even asking for donations..........................see how the OP still try to demonize him. 😁

Saying the "Sinners Prayer" does not provide salvation.

So there's that.

It was at a free BILLY GRAHAM-sponsored workshop that I've had one of my GOD experiences.
The auditorium was filled.
Pamphlets and other reading materials were freely handed out.
The Billy Graham Ministry paid for all the cost!

Those kind of workshops are being done all over the world.

It takes dollars to maintain the continuous WORLD-WIDE campaign for CHRIST!

Franklin Graham has done a really good job as President of Samaritan's Purse.

They are usually one of the first on scene after Tornadoes and Hurricanes.

It is an excellent organization.

Which one had the female side kick that had a pound of make up?
I used to watch real late night cable with my mom when I was taking care of her. There was this older white haired beaded guy dressed in white iirc. Would spout really bizarre religious nonsense. Always asked for money.
Jim and Tammy Faye were so over the top I'd actually watch their whole show for the laughs.

Tammy Faye cried about something every episode and her appearance wasn't improved by mascara running down her face.

Jim Bakker is up to his old tricks and had been selling a Covid "cure" until the government lowered the boom.

A Ministry that I've supported (LIVING TRUTH.ca) had supported and helped Christian churches and ministries, charities to be established in other countries.
It also has an inner-city program that helps the youth.

These kinds of endeavor takes funding.

Those who are looking for Christ need to be careful that they do not fall prey to con-men.

The Christian church is one of the most abused religion because of the very nature of Christ teachings, which con-men had manipulated to their advantage.

Most, if not all televangelists are conmen. And the ignorant rubes buy right into the con, without even realizing it.

I would say, many are con-men.

I don't know each and everyone of them......................so, how can I judge whether they're con-men or not?

Religion - aside from politics - is the surest way to quick riches.
That's why Christianity attracts so many frauds.

I suppose you'd also say Oprah, and all those paid celebrities................are all con-men!
And the fans and DEMS supporters, are all ignorant rubes who lapped it all up!

Lol - it's even worse!
Who in their right mind would even think that Harris is good enough for President, to be endorsed by anyone? :ROFLMAO:

They're not preaching Christ, but they were preaching HARRIS! 😁

You're saying Democrats are con-men.................................. by trying to con voters into believing that these celebrities were truly endorsing Harris.
They're trying to con boters by implying these celebrities weren't in it for the money!

What does God think about mixing religion with business?

God does not approve of mixing religion with business. The Bible shows that in the past, he was very displeased with priests who claimed to represent him while instructing “for a price.” (Micah 3:11) God condemned the greedy commercial practices that had turned his place of worship into “a cave of robbers.”—Jeremiah 7:11.

Jesus shared God’s disgust for those who used religion for financial gain. In his day, religious leaders profited from greedy merchants whom they permitted to operate inside Jerusalem’s temple. There they exploited sincere people who came to worship. Jesus courageously cleared those crooked merchants out of the temple area, saying: “Stop making the house of my Father a house of commerce!”—John 2:14-16.

Jesus also reflected God’s thinking in the way he conducted his ministry. (John 8:28, 29) He never charged people when he taught them about God. He did not request payment when he performed miracles, such as feeding the hungry, curing the sick, and raising the dead. Jesus never used his ministry to accumulate wealth—he did not even own a home.—Luke 9:58.

Jim Baker, I think he did time in jail.

Yea, a phony ass mother ****er and religions wack jobs lapped it up.

Wealth from televangelism is alive and well, anyone telling you otherwise is selling you something. Speaking of selling something, that is what Franklin Graham is doing.

There is a reason his net worth is in the 10s of millions, the organizations that pay him or he is associated to hold assets close to the 10th figure (Samaritan’s Purse and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association,) and he travels by private jet.

But go on... tell us all about how he's doing the Lord's work.

Nice non sequiturs and Strawman.

I make one exception when it comes to televangelist.

Its Joel Osteen, he's is an influential figure among the top pastors in the world, particularly in the United States. As a televangelist and prolific Christian author, his books have reached over 7 million readers across 100 countries.

He's a positive, hypnotic speaker and not a phony IMO.
