AND..AGAIN..It was taken @ the corner of Wall St. and Broad, sorry that I can't source my friend's Facebook page.
AND..AGAIN..
what does that have to do with proving there's water on the Floor of the NYSE.. INDOORS.
It's not even a picture, as far as anyone can tell, of it from the outside.
You could at least show one from your friend's wet basement. Really.
You made Irrational/nonsensical claim/'rebuttal'.Calm down, I don't know anyone who is INSIDE, in fact I doubt many are. This **** is happening RIGHT NOW, you have irrational expectations sir.
I had heard it on both Weather Channel and ABC.Having first seen tht photo, I didn't doubt much the claim about the water inside the NYSE. Why you're so antagonistically skeptical is beyond me, you claimed the report was an error WITHOUT SOURCE, so... what makes you so sure?
Washington Post Photo Gallery - adverts first then 59 pictures.
Hope you guys are all safe and well over there, some reports over here say the funnel of cold air coming down from the north may make some conditions even worse inland from the flooding in New York.

I am quite aware of the overall situation and have posted it throughout (not to mention the/my OP) including in the post http://www.debatepolitics.com/break...kenstorm-headed-region-17.html#post1061081692OMG, whether water is inside the NYSE or outside, it's bad, okay? Battery Park reportedly is under 13 feet of water, 5 people are dead in NY, 4 people are dead in NJ, hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of people are without power and/or telephone, news reports are being issued on the fly and mistakes will be made. But video of a guy standing in 4 feet of water at an Atlantic City intersection doesn't lie.
Is arguing minutiae on a forum really worth ignoring the big picture that millions of folks in the east are in the midst of a severe weather crisis? Priorities, people. Priorities.
The good thing is everyone in the world agreed to stop all activities until this is over so the media can cover it 24/7.
It was an amazing and devastating Superstorm.Praying for everyone today. I have never seen anything like this storm that caused floods, fires and snow. Incredible!
My guess is more like a solid 3-4 Weeks for complete restoration as there is a shortage of neighboring crews to draw on because the damage was Heavy and regional."..More than 942,000 of LIPA's 1.1 million customers - 83% - were without power as of 1 p.m. Tuesday, far surpassing the 1985 record of 750,000 after Hurricane Gloria.".."
Damage to the regional electric backbone and other critical customers means that it could be "a few days or more" before the more than 1,200 repair crews are seen in neighborhoods doing repairs, LIPA's chief operating officer Michael Hervey said in an interview. LIPA expects full restoration to take at least 10 days, "and very possibly more," he said.
In all, 21 of the region's 27 hospitals have lost all or partial power from the grid, and they will be among the first to see repair crews, Hervey said. Of the total, 15 hospitals have their own generators, he said.
LIPA will also give priority to the extensive damage done to the transmission system in the wake of Sandra, including the roughly one-third of substations that have damaged or disconnected high-voltage lines from the area's power plants. A substation routes stepped-down power to neighborhood distribution networks. "We have several substations that do not have power to them," he said.
"This will go down as perhaps the largest disaster in Long Island history," Hervey said, noting the flooding, wind damage and the cumulative effect on the electric and other infrastructure.
While LIPA crews are only beginning to assess the damage, they are also working with local and county governments to help with the thousands of downed trees that require clearance from electric system where they have fallen on wires."."
[Guesstimate from viewing and Bloomberg Press conference this AM]How is the underground in New York, is it flooded? Let's hope not.
I hope you folks who earlier in this thread were diminishing the impact this storm would have on the NE have reconsidered your comments.
Big storm? Yes. I am truly sorry for all who have lost anything due to Sandy. At this point Sandy hasn't lived up to the hype. Katrina was a Cat3 while I'm not certain that Sandy ever reached even Cat 1 by the time it hit.
