It's hard to imagine Republican voters getting any wiser. Hume is correct, of course. Those voters are going to 'vote their hearts,' not who they think can win the general. The best thing that could happen for Republicans is if Trump is convicted and imprisoned. The best conviction would be on a charge that would prevent him from holding public office. Take Trump out of the picture and Republicans would have their best chance at doing better in 2024 than they have in 2018, 2020, and 2022.

But even then, the stigma will swirl around them. If they end up with Trump mini-me DeSantis, it's gonna be a tough time for them to prevail. DeSantis doesn't have the appeal of Trump. He's vindictive and negative. Has no plans for national improvement, only wants to fight 'anti-woke' culture wars and be asleep at the wheel. And he signed off on unpopular draconian abortion laws, and unpopular permitless open-carry laws.

I've been saying this for more than two years! Nice of them to finally catch on.

Most of the general public has known that he's a LOSER ever since he LOST by a landslide (by his own definition) in 2020, and he's been nothing but a loser ever since.

Losing in his efforts to stop Pence from certifying the election; losing in his efforts to keep from being prosecuted; losing his rape lawsuit to the tune of 5 million dollar$; losing his 60 lawsuits to change or overturn election results in many swing states; losing in his efforts to keep and maintain control of classified documents he deliberately kept illegally; his mouthpiece FOX News losing their lawsuit from Dominion voting machines; and subsequently losing his strongest propaganda ally in FOX News; his losing Trump Organization was found GUILTY on all counts of criminal tax fraud and falsifying business records; his string of political endorsements losing in their midterm bids for office; his party losing the "red wave" that was supposed to follow in the midterms; .... losing; losing; losing; .... with no end in sight!

His 37 major criminal charges will go to trial this year, and experts who have viewed the evidence say that he will LOSE his case, ... and that isn't even the end of it. Not by a long shot. Other criminal investigations are still pending in other states for this big league LOSER.

All this losing begs the question: What on Earth does the Republican Party have to do to get rid of this LOSER? He has already cost them the White House, already cost them the midterms, and they know, beyond any shadow of doubt, that the loser Trump cannot win in the general election, so why the **** are so many of them still supporting him !! ??? !! Unless you are perversely masochistic in the extreme, continued Trump-ism totally defies reason.

It should be obvious to anyone with more than 2 firing neurons in their skull, that only a totally irredeemable fool would continue to support the loser Trump. If not mental deficiency, why else would anyone do it?

Trump failed alot. Yesterday on the Buck and Clay show i was listening to them interview Christie and they asked him if he had recommended Chris Wray to Trump and he said yes. I wanted to jump into the call and remind Buck and Clay that it was TRUMP who hired Wray and no one else.

Lefties like you are just as irrational. Trump is as you yourself say a 100% loser if he is the nominee. You should be rejoicing if he is the nominee. You wont see me wanting Biden to be impeached, drop out of the race, or have a stroke or something that keeps him from running.
