If recall correctly, the FBI had an image of her servers and said there was no evidence they had been hacked. I suppose that doesn't mean for sure they weren't, but no one at the time found any evidence of it.

The law doesn't care if classified information you left out in the open was actually viewed. You broke the law.

It is all true. But the position of the DOJ is that, unless you’re Joe Nobody, they need more than extreme negligence to charge and what they need is intent to commit another crime. Hillary was extremely negligent in her handling of classified information but, because she’s a prominent member of the political establishment, the DOJ wouldn’t do anything about it because it wasn’t in furtherance of some other crime.

Hillary had 3 emails that were in question, inadvertently left on a server. None of which were classified as top secret.
Trump stole more 700 documents classified as top secret, refusing to return them even after being asked repeatedly. And after being reclaimed by the FBI we find there are folders marked top secret which are empty.
If you're trying to make an equal comparison you failed miserably.
