Look in the mirror. Democrats lost an election after the DOJ went after Trump. When you go after your opponent with lawfare don’t be surprised when you are exposed how they did it.

Serious question: do you honestly believe this is a legitimate prosecution that has no political motive, or do you just not care and you want Comey to be punished for holding Trump to account?

Even those few years back, it was obvious the Biden administration was illegally using these agencies against the people and political enemies. Now they get to have justice thrust upon them for illegally acting for the democrats.

Comey is being Prosecuted for the same reason that Steve Bannon and Peter Navarro were prosecuted.

Comey also spearheaded a Trump Russia investigation based on information he knew was false, and attempted to remedy that by catching Trump and his staff in perjury traps.... and then committed perjury himself.

And those who endorsed and celebrated those actions were warned what would happen.

Here's the problem:
The actions against Trump by the Biden Admin, Georgia and New York had clear political motives.
And you folks didn't care.

IIRC, Bannon and Navarro were charged with ignoring congressional subpoenas, did I miss something

It's contempt of congress either way. You'd have to argue that failure to appear is somehow worse than showing up and lying your ass off.

sources familiar with the matter revealed that Biden had privately confided his belief that Trump posed a threat to democracy and should be prosecuted for his actions related to the January 6th events. The president reportedly expressed that Garland was acting too much like a "ponderous judge" rather than an aggressive prosecutor willing to take decisive action. (AI)
