Surely you are confusing me for someone else, Bullseye? Shameless worship of Biden? Obeisance to any shill with a (d) after his name? What the Hell are you talking about? Who the Hell are you talking about? When have I ever said a nice thing about Joe Biden? I was questioning his mental wellness before most people here were. You can find more stuff about me singing praise of Kamala Harris than Biden, and I said very little if anything praiseworthy of Harris.

Nothing wrong with congratulating people who rise to the top. It's only problematic when the rise is not based solely upon qualifications. I'd love to see all job applications remove name, race, gender for the initial process of selecting the best qualified candidates prior to the interview process. Then we get to pick the best qualified, and then we get to talk to them. Most of us have been passed over in our lives for someone with the right connections but not the best resume.

I agree in theory but in practice we still have racism and prejudice. Also extending opportunities to those less fortunate or by nepotism doesn't mean they are unqualified. Like those admitted to law school. Once in its up the the student to succeed. Medical school. Etc. Maybe best to base the extension of opportunities based on economic situation. But dei isn't the evil it's being made out to be by the hard right.
