They will not be able to easily replace what they lost—the knowledge of tactics and weaponry; the inspirational leadership of people like Yahya Sinwar; the weapons themselves. That would take time, logistics, and money, which Israel won’t willingly permit them to have. They’ve also lost a lot of regional support. Hezbollah is a mess. Iran is a mess. Russia is a mess. Syria’s Assad is gone. The Houthis have their own problems. Hamas is now fighting Palestinian clans in Gaza, who smell blood and vulnerability. Hamas has its hands full beyond worrying about ridding Palestine of Zionist infidels. They’re fighting for their very survival as a movement.

In fact Israel financed the Mujama al-Islamiya Islamic charity affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood to counter-balance the then Palestinian Liberation Organisation (PLO) to prevent the creation of an independent Palestinian state. It never funded terrorist operations or armed Hamas terrorists.

P{rior to 1987, Yassin had helped form a Palestinian branch of the Muslim Brotherhood. Prior to Hamas back in 1973, Yassin started Mujama al-Islamiya a Muslim charity that set up a university, library, mosques and schools.

Israel sent financial assistance to this charity because it was the sole alternative to the Palestinian Liberation Organization in Gaza. The PLO led by Arafat then Abbas was corrupt and syphoned any financial aid to an elite circle of PLO officials including Arafat while Gaza and West Bank citizens got nothing.

Israel saw helping this charity an excellent way to create goodwill not to mention prevent the PLO from trying to create a Palestinian state with a mandate to wage war against Israel.

Up until 1987, the Muslim Brotherhood and its charities openly denounced terror and so Israel helped it and offered up to 5000 work visas to Gaza Palestinians to work in Israel each day.

People like you who have no phacking clue as to the history of Hamas and make zero effort to find out, parrot and misrepresent who in fact Israel funded and why.

When Yassin decided to go along with a Syrian cell that kicked out the anti terror cell of the Muslim Brotherhood from Gaza, they then created Hamas which promptly set about torturing and killing Palestinians who worked in Israel accusing them of being collaborators. It then set about blowing up anything Israel helped build. It would take Palestinians and shove poles up their backsides, pull out their anal cavities and leave them on the streets as a warning to anyone involved with working with Israel. It openly rubber necklaced alleged collaborators which meant placing a rubber tire on their necks and lighting them on fire.

Where were you? For that matter since you are such an expert on Hamas, where are you now as they repeat their legacy shooting and billing Palestinians during this alleged ceasefire?
