That might be difficult to demonstrate, given that the government is $17 trillion in debt. Living on credit or just printing money is not a long term solution for poverty.
There is an increase in companies going to right to work states that border union states.Lower paying jobs, if there s any increase at all.

I worked at a factory and made $16 per hour, no union, no problem. That was sufficient for the work I was doing.
Other factors surely can contribute to employment. I was stating that there is at least one study, not just the Labor statistics, that suggests the efficacy of RTW.
Didn't say it was.

It may well be making the same causal relationship error Romney did, but I'd have to see the study to know.
You didn't say it wasn't either.
You seem to have missed the point, but no matter.
It was a study based on border towns between RTW and union states, and the businesses overwhelmingly went to RTW.
What a failure progressive policy is....
Just remember who to blame when this all collapses....
Again, for what reason, and how did they know that was the reason.
Failure? Because tea party governors are slashing government jobs causing the private sector to slash private jobs you think the increase in foodstamps is a failure of the progressive party?
How do you figure? You think unemployed and homeless people should starve to death so the rich can get richer?

Lol !! Really ? Tea Party Govenors are to blame for food stamp usage increasing ?
By your logic then the Govt should hire all unemployed individuals, pay them with printed and or borrowed money and then the private sector would benefit ?
Trust me, food stamp usage and disabillity amost doubling has nothing to do with Republican Governors
News flash: we're $16.7 trillion in debt. Some government jobs have to be slashed, it cannot continue on indefinitely like liberal, looney toon California.
There are many reasons for less jobs, many if which can't be fixed by government. From out sourcing to mechanization to weakening of unions to cost of education, it is nt surprising that the need has grown.
Sure it does. What creates poverty if not the lack of jobs?
Tea party governors like Walker and Scott are getting rid of more and more teachers, firemen, police and state workers. This creates poverty, lack of income, and increase in social services. How is it you don't know that? What do you think the people who have their jobs slashed by republican in Congress do? Grow money on trees?
So we should mirror the economic strategy of Greece.
To build a massive public sector while imposing draconian economic hardships on the private sector workers and Companies.
Yea, something tells me thats already been tried and has failed miserably.
We've cut trillions
in taxes the rich used to pay. Bush left us with $13 trillion in debt from two wars unfunded, and a pharmaceutical giveaway on Medicare unfunded and two bailouts in the trillions. We need to defense spending, we have more than enough weapons to destroy the world, stop overseas bases, stop protecting corporations overseas and stop subsides to the corporations, raising their taxes to the 1950 status to get out of this debt. We can't slash jobs and have our economy grow. Creating jobs also creates more taxes. Growing government jobs creates consumers which creates private sector jobs. Stopping the bleed of corporations taking jobs overseas by raising tarriffs on them brings jobs back home or allows the creation of jobs by stopping monopolies to dominant the price fixing.

I am just curious. Do you jump randomly into threads regardless of the topic or conversation and blindlessly blame Bush?
Bush spent 13 Trillion dollars ?
Two points: 1) cutting income taxes is always good for promoting job creation, that's why even liberal Obama agreed to extend Bush tax cuts for a few years in the recession. We've cut trillions in taxes the rich used to pay. I agree with everything you said about military cuts, it's one for sure commonality that libertarian minded Republicans like myself share with a decent amount of liberals. Unfortunately, Obama has sent billions of dollars in warfare aid to countries like Egypt and Israel. We need to defense spending, we have more than enough weapons to destroy the world, stop overseas bases, stop protecting corporations overseas and stop subsides to the corporations, raising their taxes to the 1950 status to get out of this debt.
That's not true. Pumping money into the public sector stunts productivity of the private sector because you take money from the latter and give to the former. What you can do for economic growth is slash taxes, bring government salaries and benefits in line with private sector equivalents, and put a hiring freeze on a number of federal jobs.We can't slash jobs and have our economy grow.
Sure the wars he didn't fund an include in the debt and Medicare subsidies to pharmaceutical companies and bailouts.
