The liberals tell you, "Follow the science."

But what science? I won't get into the treatment issue, which changes as doctors experiment with this new disease.

What I will question is what science determined the parameters of the house arrest.

I ask the following:

1. How many cases resulted from people having their hair cut or done?
2. How many cases from people having their nails done?
3. How many cases from people having various esthetic services? Facials, waxing, massage?
4. And how many hair stylists, barbers, nail techs, estheticians were infected by their jobs?
5. How many cases resulting from car washes?
6. How many cases from people seeking routine medical and dental treatment? You know, in a doctor's office. Like getting your teeth cleaned. Like maybe going to the dermatologist to have your skin tags removed before they turn into skin cancer?
7. How many cases from regular veterinary care? What I had to go through to have my kitten examined was brutal. Your cat needs to have you with them when they are going through that, just like your kid.
8. How many cases from people buying and planting seeds and seedlings?
9. How many cases from people eating sitdown in restaurants?
10. Why is it OK to buy clothes from Target or WalMart but not Saks, Neiman, Bloomingdales, Nordstrom, or even Penneys?
11. Why can I buy cheap personal care items from CVS but not better quality from BlueMercury or Sephora?

I'd like to know. Because there doesn't seem to be reported any cases from these activities. So closing them down isn't following the science, is it?

No way of telling with asymptomatic transmission...

So go and find out. There's this thing called the internet with search engines.

The Risks - Know Them - Avoid Them

Science says that breathing the same air as an asymptomatic person is one of the leading causes of transmission. So yes, getting your hair cut from an asymptomatic stylist or giving a haircut to an asymptomatic patient is an easy method of transmission.

It's more than just 6'

That is a diversion.

Link to me any ACTUAL cases caused by someone having their hair cut.

Not what might happen. Hell, the earth could be hit by an asteroid in the next ten minutes.

This is not what *MIGHT* happen, it's what *DID*. Unless you think that cutting hair has magical properties.

I'll remind you that Russia is in real trouble. Medical professionals are 'falling' out of windows, especially after they complain or point out problems. There are no winners when you spread disinformation.

You confirmatiion anti-science screed is noted and given the attention it deserves.

That's funny. My family has a history of fatal melanoma and my primary care physician ordered me to the dermatologist to have them looked at. Maybe she has a better clue than you.

Melanomas are primarily caused by UV exposure-sunlight and tanning beds. It's highly unlikely than your skin tag will become malignant. My career was in cervical cytopathology so I'm fairly au fait with how cancers develop.

It's a diagram. Of what? When?

Means nothing without context.

You confirmatiion anti-science screed is noted and given the attention it deserves.

I asked FOR the science.

Because without any proof, this is nothing but arbitrary and capricious limitations.

Show me some proof. After all, isn't that what science is about?

No, it isn't a diversion, it's common bloody sense love! Your hairdresser may be asymptomatic yet unknowingly infected, and could unload millions of viral particles onto you. It might happen, it might not. Personally I prefer to err on the side of caution. You're free make your own choices.

Cervical cancer is not melanoma.

And you obviously know little about melanoma. It can come from one bad sunburn as a kid. Which I most certainly had.

No, science is not about proof. The scientific method is about proposing a theory, peer reviewing it and working with that until and if a new theory overrides it.

NO, I am not currently free to make my own choices.

And you have provided nothing but some faith-based assertion that something might happen.

Really? Kinda changed from when I was taught science.

So what you are saying is that actual facts and data don't matter.

Just the opinions of others.

Sounds very collectivist.

If you can't show any examples of someone crashing a Lime Green 2009 Ford Focus at 112mph on the High Street, why should we have speed limits?

NO, I am not currently free to make my own choices.

WTF is this "faith-based assertion" crap? Do you have any idea what you're talking about? Oh, and by the way, scientists and those in the medical field have been predicting a 'when, not if' pandemic for years. And guess what, that "something" which "might happen", did happen.

WTF is this "faith based assertion" crap? Do you have any idea what you're talking about?

If you can't provide facts and data to substantiate proof, then your hypotheses are faith-based.

That's how science works. There is no such concept as 'proof' in science, only the best evidence to date arrived at through experimentation, observation and replication. Did you finish grade school?
Read and learn, because you clearly need to:
