This should have been done sooner.

We need all the help we can get herding these cats.

Round em up and ship them out.

Florida officials announced that 1,800 state Highway Patrol troopers are the first in the nation to receive federal credentials under an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agreement allowing them to arrest illegal immigrants on their own.

An Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent and a local police officer arrest an illegal immigrant in Florida in April 2025. ICE
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis said at a press conference on May 12 that t
he state’s ongoing partnership with ICE included what is known as 287(g) agreements, where state and local law enforcement partner with ICE to help arrest and deport illegal immigrants.

Does that mean Highway Patrol can pull over anyone who is brown skinned and ask them for their papers?
Or is there an actual protocol?

They can pull over white and black skin as well.

They can pull over white and black skin as well.

You missed the point of that question, not surprisingly.

Now that they have been given the authority to round up illegals, the question is what is the protocol for how they can even begin a stop. Do they still have to have legitimate PC, or is driving around anything other then white enough to be PC?

No, the point was they would only pull over brown skinned people which is a lie. Illegals are targeted. Not their skin color.

^^^^ Projection ^^^^
You want to live in a place where any cop can stop people for any excuse and force people to prove their identity, as long as they're not stopping you of course.
You would have loved Nazi occupied Europe, they were very efficient.

People should be looking for reliable reporting on this story rather than validating by comment on a poorly substantiated story in Zero Hedge.

How do they identify who might be an “illegal”?

😂😂😂
That is the real question. How do they know who to pull over?

This also seems like putting more responsibility on the cops when they are over worked and understaffed anyway.

Did these 100 people get a raise?

Nope, that wasn't the point....but what are the chances they will ask a white person for proof of citizenship?

Another post dripping with hatred. Good job!

BTW, we had this thread here yesterday with a different thread cap.

It means the often racist local police can now join the racist ICE in rounding up of anyone that is brown or black. ..and it being Florida, the locals will shoot first.

Its almost like this was passed...back in 1996.

Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996

"IIRAIRA initiated the 287(g) program. The 287(g) program allows state and local law enforcement agencies to enter into agreements with Immigration and Naturalization Service (now Immigration and Customs Enforcement). These agreements allocate to certain agents the ability to "perform a function of an immigration officer in relation to the investigation, apprehension, or detention of aliens in the United States (including the transportation of such aliens across State lines to detention centers)". Under 287(g), law enforcement officers are deputized to gain immigration enforcement authority, such as investigating, apprehending, and detaining aliens whom the officer believes to be removable. When agencies enter into 287(g) agreements, the individuals deputized are under the direction of ICE, but they are not considered federal officials."

that darn Bill Clinton again.........

Hey genius, how can you tell just by looking at someone whether they're "illegal" or not?
Tattoos.

I've got a Highland Clan emblem tattooed on my shoulder. A Clan could be called a 'gang', right? If I sneak across the border will they deport me to Scotland?
