Florida may require high school students take financial literacy course in order to graduate

If a government class in 12th grade is not already required statewide, I want to know why. That one is a no-brainer.

I would go even further than financial literacy. How about a personal finance class to make sure everyone knows all about how to spend their money wisely, when to save it, and choose the right kinds of bank accounts, homes, vehicles, insurance plans, etc?
That's called financial literacy.

Long overdue! Double-entry accounting is only 700 years old, are we supposed to believe that it is more complicated than trigonometry?

Where does planned obsolescence and the depreciation of durable consumer goods fit into that?

That's called financial literacy.

Nope. The term "financial literacy" is limited to understanding the basic information about finance. For actual decision-making skills ranging from when to tip over 15% to hiring a financial planner,, you need a "personal finance" class.
