The Trump admin is going out of its way to make a big show about how mean they’re being towards the migrants. That’s why there is outrage. These people committed a minor crime, a misdemeanor, and they do not deserve to be treated harshly. The migrants themselves have demonstrated themselves to be good, decent people, who work hard and have a good heart. They come here and help us with work. If someone approaches us in this way they should not be treated as if they were axe murderers. The failure of our system is mostly about our own immigration processes. Migrants do not suffer from some moral defect any more than someone who violates a traffic law.

What is the standard penalty for that crime.
