It's a ugly process whether it's called redistricting or gerrymandering. Even the so called independent redistricting commissions are infiltrated with party hacks from both parties.

The only issue here, is that such a process has to take place. I don't really that they have to take part in gerrmandering, but the fact of the matter is, that lines have to be drawn somewhere and at some point. So there's always going to be claims of gerrymandering when it's actually there, and when it never actually took place. All because the system is just that fragile.
