Which part of Florida do you live in?

It is not limited government power if a governor writes an executive order banning school mask mandates.
 
He is only saying you can't mandate mask. People can still wear them if they want to.

And, yes, parents deciding what their children will do instead of some self-important bureaucrat is exactly the type of limited government that people love so much.

Imagine that!
 
No problem with mask mandates on the west coast. Piney Point. Tampa Bay. Red Tide. Dead fish. Masks are worn voluntarily.

South Florida. I would say only about a quarter of the people wears mask here.

I was being cheeky about limited government.

I don't understand the strategy here. Stay number 1 as the worst state for covid?

FYI the head of the states government overriding the will of the county isn't limited government.
 
Are there other school dress codes that schools are not allowed to enforce according to the governor? Why would that be?

Hell yes, I do! Have you ever tried to put an infant in a car seat? You have to have a master's in physics to pull it off.

Having said that, I would choose to put an infant in a car seat as it simply makes common sense. I don't need the nanny state dictating it.

FYI the head of any state has no power to override the will of the country.

However, a governor preventing a bunch of self-important covidiots who pretend to know better than the parents regarding the needs of their children is not an example of limited government either as you still have in-place a government that is mandating the details of your life.

A government that stays out of our healthcare altogether is an example of limited government.

What if the dress codes were changed to include masks? Then they would be a part of the dress code. Would that be sufficient?

Sorry, but when an elected official goes out of his way to restrain people from requiring simple precautions in order to provide for the public health, there’s only one word for it.

Malfeasance.

Placing your desire to pander to ideology ahead of the public health and welfare is beyond irresponsible.

I hope voters remember that.
 

Now, imagine that some other parent's decision to not use a car seat not only endangers their child, but also endangers your child as well as yourself. Even if it's only a little.

Are you still standing on this principle?

He's not preventing anyone from wearing a mask. He's simply preventing some very stupid, uneducated, self-important covidiots from dictating--like the little tyrants that they want to be--the personal choices of individuals.

he is trying to ban them for private business as well....cannot do that. He has to have a substantial state interest to ban something...he is going to lose this one.
