Flip flap: What was Obama doing with that finger?

Status
Not open for further replies.
I don't understand why he would give her the finger then not acknowledge it. It seems to me, that he'd either do it and admit it, or not do it.

Why would he ever admit it? It would cost him votes if he did........He has already lost a lot of votes with his elitists comments about Pennsylvania voters.......

If you don't find experience to be vital to the role of managing our country, then I am not surprised you would fall for a candidate like Obama.

I'm not falling for anything. My views are based on my personal opinion. To me experience doesn't really amount to much for the reasons I described. If you don't find that sufficient, there's really nothing I can do for you. I see no reason for you to belittle me or my choices just because you don't agree with my reasons.

Oh, come on! Obama is guilty of every single thing that he is accused of. It doesn't matter that there has yet to be one concrete non-ambiguous issue that people have been able to attack him on.

When a candidate major pitch is change and you find out all these scandals about him in the last couple of months it has to make anyone with a mind question this man's motives..........

For the same reason I would give my boss the finger and not admit it. It may have seemed funny at the time, but in retrospect, it was just ghetto.

Every single one of these "scandals" is ambiguous in nature. The moment that something is brought up that is concrete against him I will be more than happy to join you in anti-Obama cheering section.

Why give McCain the benefit of the doubt and put his comments in the proper context when you are unwilling to do so for Obama?

Because Obama said it about his Grandmother...........Someone he supposedly loved and who treated him with great kindness where as McCain said it about people who tortured and mistreated him for 6 years.......

Even someone as bias as you towards him can tell the difference.........

If it'd cost him votes, then why'd he do it. He seems to have more self-control than that.

A racial slur is a racial slur, regardless of whom you direct it at. I personally don't believe Obama's comments were racist. He also didn't use a racial slur. He didn't call his grandmother a honkey or a cracker. Gook is a racial slur. However, from your viewpoint Obama was being racist and it's incredibly hypocritical to try and justify McCain's comments and not give Obama the same.

Again, I don't find experience to be an issue because a person can have a ton of experience and still not make a good President.

Yeah but if he has no experience like Obama it ensures he will be a bad president..........

If experience does not matter then just go down to you local bar and pic someone for president...............

I'm not saying that experience doesn't matter. I'm saying that I personally don't find it to be of vital importance in who I look for in a President. I find that most of the things that people have been attacking Obama on thus far are nothing more than typical campaign smear attempts that one sees during the election season. Like I said earlier, the moment something concrete comes up against Obama I will gladly join you in the anti-Obama cheering section.

Why does he make all the stupid statements he has made in the last month? Just maybe he is not the perfect candidate you liberals make him out to be...........

Not once did I ever imply that he was the perfect candidate. Oh, and your assertion that his comments were stupid is only based on the fact that people chose to attack them for them. They are also all ambiguous in nature.

Based on what....your assertions? Do you have proof?

Based on the fact that to be the president of this country you need some managerial experience as well as foreign policy experience......You just can't keep parroting change.....That worked when he was no the leader in the polls but not now............People are taking a much closer look at this guy and are not liking what they see..............

There's a small difference between saying something that sounds wrong and can be taken wrong once you say it, and using an obscene

So you think that Obama was just some average joe off the street that decided to run? Does his experience in the Senate account for nothing?

Roosevelt and Lincoln had very little experience, and we carved their faces onto a frickin' mountain!

Roosevelt had plenty of experience and Lincoln lived in a time where he did not have his finger on a button that could destroy the world...........Huge difference............

Once again: what about Roosevelt and Lincoln? Both were amazing presidents. On the flip side, Buchanan had more experience than anyone to hold the office and he was a dismal failure.

Or, here's another example: Bush Sr. and Reagan. Bush Sr. has decades and decades of experience, but Reagan, who only ad experience governing a state, and no foreign policy exp. was a better president. Experience isn't everything. It's a factor, but not the final word.

Oh, give me a break! The Presidency is just as important now as it was then. Just because technology wasn't up to par doesn't mean ****. It's still a very important job.

Well obscene is in the eye of the beholder....I am not saying he said obscene things I am saying he made statements that alienate the people he wants to vote for him..........

He is actually got about a year in the Senate and his been running for president ever since................McCain has 25 years in the senate and has commanded the biggest Squadron in the Navy

Roosevelt had plenty of experience and Lincoln lived in a time where he did not have his finger on a button that could destroy the world...........Huge difference............

Wrong. Very wrong. Teddy Roosevelt had a year's experience as under-secretary of the navy, about a year's experience as Governer of NY, and about a year's experience as VP. Keep in mind, the only thing the VP did back then was break ties in the senate and stand by in case the president kicked the bucket. If you consider that "plenty of experience", then Obama is qualified.

Also, why does the presence of nukes change anything? We can all agree that no candidate from either party is going to start a nuclear war. If you think Obama might start a nuclear war, I'd love to hear your reasoning.

Your saying that Governing a state the size of California for 8 years does not give Reagan experience? You can keep bringing up names but that won't fly...........
