First, they shut down the government...

What demand list?
What negotiations have there been.
If the party in power doesn't want to talk, there's nothing that can be done. Until the party in power wishes to talk.

you don't know what the Democrats are demanding ?

It's certainly telling that helping Americans keep their health care is always a "poison pill" for the GOP.

"Don't get sick and if you do, die quickly" is a hell of a philosophy.
We'll still be helping Americans keep their health care. These are just the temporary pandemic subsidies expiring as intended.

"The impact of not extending the tax credits is likely to be felt widely: With the expiration of enhanced tax credits, ACA marketplace consumers’ out-of-pocket premiums will increase more than 75 percent on average, an analysis by health policy group KFF found. Separately, KFF found that insurers’ median proposed premium increase for 2026 to be about 18 percent, more than double last year’s median proposed increase of 7 percent.

Without an extension of the ACA subsidies, the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office estimates that about 4 million people could lose insurance coverage over the next decade."

Doesn't matter how many times you repeat a lie...it won't turn into the truth.

Yeah. We know. It's why we can't figure out why you keep posting that nonsense. Let's talk to Trump himself.

Doh!

Doesn't matter how many times you repeat a lie...it won't turn into the truth.

Coming from an unabashed Trump fan, I find this statement hilarious.

The Trump Shutdown.

Republicans do not control the Senate when it comes to spending bills.

They do. They just choose not to exercise that power. They could have gotten rid of the filibuster. Alternatively, they could just negotiate with Democrats. They've chosen to accept a shutdown.

Charlie was literally assassinated for free speech. You (Democrats) first tried to jail and then kill the then opposition to Biden. Democrats are embracing the assassination culture. There is a thread today that states that Turning Point is a hate group. Charlie died defending speech after creating an enduring organization to continue that effort.
MAGA is the chemo to the cancer that has metastasized after decades unchecked.
Free speech or hate speech? Why are basically republicans drawn to people like kirk but Democrats not so much. It's basically the same as the party, mostly white people, no?

These are enhanced, pandemic subsidies. The subsidies were never intended to be permanent.

Nobody has answered my question yet. I already spend a lot of money on health care, why do you think I should be paying subsidies to someone who makes a six-figure salary?

They're willing to negotiate with Democrats. Have said so all along. The major difference is that Democrats want to do so only when the government is shut down, and Republicans want to do so while things are running and Federal workers and servicemembers are receiving their paychecks.

Democrats certainly did want to negotiate while the government was open and if they fail to get any concessions while it's shutdown will try again when government reopens.

No, why would I?
Do you? IF you did you'd post it.

If there is a list, why are R's attempting to address it?

shouldn't that be something we all have and look at though ?

What are the Democrats fighting for that they'll shut the Govt down for days/weeks? That's important isn't it? We see what Republicans are saying Democrats are demanding .... why have the Democrats not show us what they're wanting and willing to shut down the Govt to get ?

Key items Johnson identifies on the Democratic list
Johnson has focused his criticism on several key components of the Democratic agenda, especially in the context of recent funding negotiations:
  • Funding for non-citizens' healthcare: He alleges that Democrats are trying to undo Republican-led reforms to Medicaid and healthcare spending, which he claims would provide taxpayer-funded healthcare subsidies to illegal and legal non-citizens. In contrast, reporting by Rolling Stone notes that Johnson is referring to a repeal of cuts made by a previous GOP bill, and that the claims about payments to "illegal aliens" are not explicitly supported by the text.
  • Expansion of Affordable Care Act (ACA) subsidies: Johnson claims that Democrats are demanding a permanent extension of enhanced ACA subsidies, initially put in place during the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • Increased spending: The Speaker has described the Democratic proposal as a "$1.5 trillion wish list" of spending demands, which he says the country cannot afford.
  • Funding for left-leaning media: He has accused Democrats of attempting to use taxpayer money to fund organizations like NPR and PBS.
  • DEI and climate projects: Johnson also claims the Democratic list includes funding for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and climate projects in foreign countries.

Another day in MAGA ‘Merica.

Another day where the MAGa government in control can’t keep the government open.

...then they go party in Napa Valley wine country.

The majority of the retreat is slated to take place at the hotel, with the noted exceptions of an Oct. 13 wine tour and dinner at the certified organic Staglin Family Vineyards, according to the circulated invitation.

Hotel Yountville’s website describes the luxury resort and spa as a “vineyard estate-inspired retreat” which “extends a Tuscan-European vibe.”

“Sleep deeply always, in our luxurious accommodations. Soak in one of our oversized sunken tubs and find warmth by your private fieldstone fireplace,” the hotel’s website states. “Savor a meal at Heritage Oak Café, immerse yourself in our pool, or find repose at our distinguished spa. Hotel Yountville offers more than a Wine Country trip—it’s the luxury escape you didn’t know you needed…until now.”

The retreat, was also said to include dinner at the expensive Staglin Family Vineyards, an organic estate known to be one of Napa’s premier winemakers.

Attendees will include Gillibrand, Sen. Angela Alsobrooks and other Democrats. Rep. Haley Stevens, D-Mich, is also expected to attend, a Democrat briefed on the plans told Politico.

Meanwhile, tens of thousands of government workers will be sent home without paychecks and tens of thousands will become unemployed.

The Elites are never affected by their own policies.
So, why doesn't Trump demand that both houses get to work immediately and require a solution?

From article below:

‘Every day this is shut, we will find ways to pay for everything we want. We’ll find ways to eliminate everything you want. And we’ll do it legally.’

Democrats won't celebrate long. Trump doesn't negotiate with terrorists /s

Your posts all display the name level of cruelty coming from this WH. I never realized so many could be so down right mean.
