First order of business? Overturning 22nd amendment for Republicans only or ensuring a 6-3 SCOTUS majority for the next 25 years?

The thread title says it all. Which should our newly elected government do first. Set in motion a set of laws that allow Trump to govern the United States of America until he dies or doesn't want to any more, or should we ask for the resignations of Roberts, Thomas, and Alito so that we can effectively legislate the democratic party out of existence and never again have to deal with them?

I like where you are going here! But I think the GOP and Trump have to be very careful to not prove all the hateful rhetoric of the democrats over the last 8 years to be true. The best way to damage the democrats is to demonstrate just how unbelievably despicable and wrong they were during the last 8 years.

22nd amendment puts term limit on presidency.
Removing it, and convincing 3/4ths of the states to agree and ratify it's removal, would in no way guarantee reelection of any candidate.

Regarding the SCOTUS Justices, I'm not sure you need to ask for their resignations, they might just propose doing so themselves.

Trying to pass laws that make a specific group or ideology illegal or ineligible to run for election seems like a quagmire of potential issues, I'd be really careful about diving into that. It also sounds extremely undemocratic.

He didn't even overturn the election to get his second term when he was 74. What makes anyone think he's gonna overturn an amendment to get a third term when he's 82?

All ideas of the left, which they want very badly for themselves. Most importantly is to assure that when the left has control that they cannot stack the SC or cannot be president except twice. They desire one party control in perpetuity, which is a complete takeover of the USA......we must protect America from far left radicals.

Shouldn't this be in a conspiracy theory thread in that section of the Forum?

It really has nothing to do with the Presidential Election because it is clearly a "what if" scenario having little to nothing to do with facts or political reality.

BRB, let me make us all some popcorn... 🍿 🍿 🍿

My guess is he won't actually get that far. Once his cabinet decides they can strike they'll declare Trump is too mentally incompetent to be the President anymore and remove him from office. Once that happens they'll blame the left for that and then start retaliating against them in full earnest.

No I'm being serious, my guess is Trump is going down the path of Juan Peron in Argentina. Once they think Trump is too mentally incompetent to be president (and it's going to be sooner than most people think) that he's going to be removed from office.

It's amazing what some people can believe. I'll put that in file 13 for ya.

You mean like Amendment 13 which specially allows for prison slave labor?

Both are good ideas. I thought we should start by taking away Social Security, but that would be easier if we destroy democracy first. Just not sure we have the theocracy lined up yet, and we need to get manufacturing going so that we can make all of those red, wool dresses and white hats.

Logic like that has no place on DP. This forum is only for emotionally unstable hysterical neo-leftists to vent their rage over Trump.
