They are clients of the firm. Judge Merchan has already solicited an opinion and a recommendation from the New York State Advisory Committee on Judicial Ethics on how to proceed. They concluded that “the judge’s impartiality cannot reasonably be questioned based on the judge’s relative’s business and/or political activities.” So it's time for Trump and his lawyers to start focusing on their defense because this trial is going forward on Monday and it's his ass that's in a sling. Not Merchan's
