[h=1]Broad Support for Duterte's Drug War in Philippines, Pew Finds[/h]
Obama's admin was giving unspoken implication that they would overthrow Dutarte's government. Obama's love of drug dealers means he wanted to ensure that The Phillipines could be a prime destination for pre-toon hookers and blow. Trump won't stand for that kind of criminality and abuse. As a teetotaler and a man of integrity he shows support for the Dutarte government in doing what the people of The Phillipines want.

Duterte has also jailed the senator who was his most vocal critic. Democracy is dead in the Philippines.

There are many parallels between the situation in the Philippines and in the U.S. People are tired of the corruption and inefficiencies of the democratic process. So direct action by executive order becomes popular.

That senator was also a criminal and was doing everything in her power to enable the hookers and blow culture that was poisoning the lives of the citizens.

Foreigners are not going to want to invest in a lawless country where the government kills citizens without due process. There is no defense for executing people without a trial. Are you seriously in favor of giving the GOVERNMENT the power to execute a citizen without a trial?

De Lima is a brave woman. She stood up to a tyrant but now she's been thrown in jail on made up charges. It's now a full blown dictatorship. If you criticize Duterte you'll end up in prison.

I'm sure the people will display their displeasure by voting out Dutarte if they don't like it. In the meantime the president of the Phillipines has a 90% approval rating and the cokeheads and pimps are running scared. Why do you liberals hate law and order so much?

Killing suspects without a trial is neither law or order. It's just expediency. It's not some new great idea.

The Chilean War on Drugs was an effort by Augusto Pinochet's Chilean dictatorship to eradicate the rising drug trade in its country during the early 1970s, often consisting of arrests and subsequent summary executions. The Chilean Army shut down several drug operations and arrested the drug dealers before lining them up and executing them by firing squad, often burying them in mass graves to hide their atrocities. Some people would survive these executions, such as Mateo Moreno, who became known as "the Cockroach" for surviving the mass execution of his colleagues. Pinochet's government would shut down 33 drug labs and capture and execute 346 drug dealers in 1973, shortly after taking power as dictator.

Sounds like the answer is to not be a drug dealer. Which reminds me: remember when the CIA trained and equipped Noriega and Columbian drug lords? Seems to me that the drug problems around the world are usually fueled by and receive support from the U.S. Donald Trump is doing his damndest to end it. That's one of the many things that make liberals outraged about his administration: its his empathy for human suffering and his willingness to ignore the criminality of the establishment class.

Pinochet assumed power in Chile following a United States-backed coup d'état on 11 September 1973 that overthrew the democratically elected socialist Unidad Popular government of President Salvador Allende and ended civilian rule. Several academics – including Peter Winn, Peter Kornbluh, Tim Weiner, and Christopher Hitchens – have stated that the support of the United States was crucial to the coup and the consolidation of power afterward.[5][6][7] Pinochet had been promoted to Commander-in-Chief of the Army by Allende on 23 August 1973, having been its General Chief of Staff since early 1972.[8] In December 1974, the ruling military junta appointed Pinochet Supreme Head of the nation by joint decree, although without the support of one of the coup's instigators, Air Force General Gustavo Leigh.[9]

Following his rise to power, Pinochet persecuted leftists and political critics, resulting in the executions of from 1,200 to 3,200 people,[10] the internment of as many as 80,000 people and the torture of tens of thousands.[11][12][13] According to the Chilean government, the amount of executions and forced disappearances was 3,095.[14]

Oh, you conservatives are still fighting the war on drugs? Have we won yet? You search and imprison people for smoking plants because the government knows what's best. The government through these policies creates a black market and creates drug dealers. Then the government takes our rights away to fight the drug dealers that government created.

It's crazy but there is hope that liberals will have the guts to end the insanity and start treating the drug problem as a public health problem. No need to imprison people. Educate people and treat addicts. Get rid of the laws that create the black market, drug dealers, cartels and inner city drug gangs. That would be real small government and real freedom.

But continue to repeat history. Surely, you'll "win" the war on drugs. The police won't become corrupt and secretly sell drugs and protect rich drug dealers.

Whatever. I did my best to talk some sense into you.

What is a pre-toon hooker?
