Sorry, but if you want to be FEMA "Chief", you had better be on the same page as your boss. That's just the way it is.

So true! Effectiveness on the job, knowledge, and good management have nothing at sll to so with it. Kissing Trump’s butt is the only criteria.

And the Trump clown show continues.

I hope we won't require FEMA assistance from the thunderstorms we're suppose to have tonight.

Civil servants swear an Oath

3331. Oath of office

An individual, except the President, elected or appointed to an office of honor or profit in the civil service or uniformed services, shall take the following oath: "I, AB, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God." This section does not affect other oaths required by law.

“It’s at the discretion of (Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem) to have the personnel she prefers,” DHS spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin told CNN, confirming that DHS official David Richardson will take over for Hamilton effective immediately. McLaughlin declined to explain why Hamilton was removed from the post.

Hamilton's lucky she didn't shoot him down in a gravel pit.

Any thoughts as to why Donald hasn’t offered you the role, nor any other Cabinet position? I mean, you’re obviously the only person on the planet who can be truly loyal to Donald. Everyone else in his world may someday betray him, but you never would. So, one can only wonder why you haven’t yet been selected?

The grooming and intimidation continues. 100% loyalty or you're gone.

That's fine, but you STILL have to be on the same page as your boss.

In this case, it's not about "upholding the Constitution". It's about the guy disagreeing with a policy his boss has. It's about "faithfully discharge the duties of the office". Those duties are determined by his boss.
Where has TeflonDon said that FEMA should be eliminated? He's said he's considering it.

The Congresswoman asked Hamilton the question.

"But when Rep. Rosa DeLauro, a Connecticut Democrat, asked Hamilton how he felt about plans to eliminate FEMA, Hamilton said he did not believe the agency should be eliminated.
Having said that,” Hamilton continued, “I’m not in a position to make decisions and impact outcomes on whether or not a determination such as consequential as that should be made. That is a conversation that should be had between the president of the United States and this governing body.”" link

Apparently, it's not even a Zero Tolerance policy..."considering the discussion" is also not acceptable. This is what the smart ones say these days: (Re: Alcatraz) "J. Elizabeth Peace, a spokeswoman for the U.S. Department of the Interior, said in an email that "the President's statement speaks for itself," and declined to comment further." link

The subjects do not question the king.

So the head of FEMA got fired for telling Congress he doesn't support breaking up FEMA?
What a clown show you brought down on your country.
