One big problem there-This is certainly bad news, but is there more to this story? It just doesn’t make sense. I hope this isn’t part of his plan to eliminate FEMA. Personally, I don’t think FEMA has been a a successful agency. Money would be better spent by the states than the feds and the impact would a lot quicker.
Does any state have the resources to handle a hurricane, flood, tornado by itself??? Even if they kept the money sent to Washington earmarked for FEMA, which is a difficult number to define as most times Congress is required to pass laws to send the money it takes to manage the event....

Should Floriduhhh rely on its own funds???
No FEMA marshals money and equipment from states because hurricanes and floods are overwhelming.
It is foolish to think a state can handle massive events by themselves....
