FBI fires agents who were caught kneeling during 2020 George Floyd protests

We watched a police officer murder a human being in the street and he was going to get away with it if not for the outrage.

Outrage was the correct response.

Right wingers instead spent months talking about how George Floyd deserved to die.
Floyd's death was a mistake. Nothing more. He had a lot to do with it

Facts the ultra liberal and blacks don't wish to face.

Floyd was a career criminal and lifelong hard drug addict. It was a miracle he survived as long as he did (and in fact his girlfriend's testimony indicates he had overdosed in a separate incident shortly before his death). If he was one of half a dozen thugs capped by fellow thugs during a Chicago weekend or found dead from an overdose in an alley, the left wouldn't have given a shit. The ticking time bomb that was George Floyd just so happened to die during (justified) police restraint and so he ascended to be Saint Fentanyl Floyd of the Left instead of being just another quickly forgotten statistic.

Floyd's death that day was totally preventable, it was murderous police misconduct, nothing George did or allegedly did warranted a street death sentence from the police.

Facts that many a person of all persuasions do not and oft will not face.

Has anyone ever actually been choked out by a knee neck choke like what supposedly killed Floyd? I watch some MMA and I've never seen it happen (nor can I find any record of such an event online). Seems hard to believe that a cop casually kneeling on someone can accomplish that unless the guy had a drug overdose and/or heart attack at the same time. That, combined with Floyd's heart disease and cocktail of drugs in his bloodstream, the lack of any physical injury found during the autopsy that would support a choking death, his reported overdose/hospitalization just months prior to his death, his complaints about being unable to breathe before he was subdued on the ground, and the cops' reasonable level of restraint given Floyd's powerful, determined, and lengthy resistance (and only until the stretcher arrived) raises the level of doubt for me to where a murder conviction seems downright ridiculous.

Basically, the government didn't want its cities to get completely burned down, so they secured the necessary jury and played the video, that does indeed look bad to a layman, to sacrifice this cop.

No. I have seen a case where some died from asphyxiation of a person kneeling on a person's back though. It prevents the chest from expanding. Of course, the officer wasn't going to offer that as a defense.

More likely than anything, he was going to die no matter what. But they didn't react to get him help, and I think that moved the jury.

Please stop with these goofy lies about Floyd's death.

Authorities Just Released George Floyd's Complete Autopsy Report.
No Change in George Floyd’s Cause of Death, Despite Viral False Claims

Quick Take

The police officer who kept his knee on George Floyd’s neck for about nine minutes in 2020 was convicted of murder, and the medical examiner determined that police efforts to subdue Floyd caused his death. Nothing about the autopsy’s findings have changed, but social media posts falsely claim new documents show Floyd died of a drug overdose or natural causes.

Why is it so hard for the Right to accept the fact that Floyd was murdered? There was nothing "casual" about Chauvin putting his knee on Floyd's neck, and Floyd was not on the verge of death prior to his arrest.

Floyd's death that day was totally preventable, it was murderous police misconduct, nothing George did or allegedly did warranted a street death sentence from the police.
Yep, it was a mistake.

Purge the FBI. If you kneel to a Marxist organization you must go.

Oh, stop.

These terminations are illegal and will lead to a lawsuit.

Your side wouldn't know a Marxist if one walked up and slapped you across the face.

Do you feel safer for firing agents that knelt?

If so… why?

Yes, I voted for Trump. This greatly reduces the chance that Biden's STASI will kick my door in and drag me off to a gulag.

He may have been, that doesn't excuse incompetent policing nor punishment for those who understood that. But MAGA communists are all about Dear Leader and Party above all else, so this falls on deaf ears.

But greatly increases the chance that Trump's STASI kicks down someone else's door and drags them off.

Like in Chicago.
MAGA commies love kicking down the doors of anyone they can claim is against the Party. It's how they work. All dirty ass, cowardly, yellow-bellied, communist bastards. The lot.

I'm not seeing the reasoning behind this.

I'm assuming that it was a politically motivated performative action by the political operative currently in charge of the FBI.

The Department of Justice reported on it in 1995, after it happened to several people. The report was used to train people not to do it.

So you were saying?

Here is the PDF of the flyer sent out to all law enforcement and correctional facilities.

Now because you are ignorant of things doesn't mean they don't exist. It just means you are ignorant. Ignorant is a condition we all have. There are millions of facts and pieces of information that I am ignorant of. But that doesn't mean they don't exist or are made up. It just means I don't know. Ignorance can be cured by learning. Stupidity is refusing to learn.

I've mentioned in this thread that it was a thing. I even used the proper name. Positional Asphyxiation. Now you didn't go look it up, because you didn't want to know. I mentioned how the DOJ had sent out flyers, and you didn't go look for them. Because you didn't want to know. Now, the question is will you cure your ignorance or will you continue on down the path of refusing to learn?

No. I have seen a case where some died from asphyxiation of a person kneeling on a person's back though.
Wouldn't it make more sense to go after the guy immediately behind Chauvin instead, then?

Also, how much force is required for this?

I'm getting figures well into the hundreds of pounds. All the cops would have needed to stand straight up on his back! Either that or they'd have needed to get a cop who has a gig at My 600-lb Life.

Lack of physical evidence. Implausibility. Other more likely causes (or at least more important contributors). Etc...

I'm saying you didn't bother to read your link since it mentions nothing of knees, necks, or chokes.

One of your links actually does mention chest and back, but that's not what Chauvin had his knee on!

That aside, the advisory is for SUBDUED subjects, not VIOLENTLY RESISTING ones as Floyd was even after being handcuffed!

Or else it says to just get a medical team, which was obviously already on the way:

Floyd was not violently resisting. He was refusing to turn and sit in the car. He claimed to be claustrophobic. He was in handcuffs already when Chauvin showed up. Chauvin threw him to the ground and knelt on Floyd until Floyd was past tense.

Two of the officers were kneeling on Floyd's back - one of which was Chauvin. Most of his weight would have been on the higher point. But obviously his attorney isn't going to argue that his weight on the back is more likely to be an issue than pinning his shoulder/neck.

It doesn't take as much weight as the study suggests, especially if the person is in a weakened state. Every case is different. The case encountered was one large man sitting on a large youth - with complicating factors. (He was not held at fault). I'm not saying that's what happened - just that it was far more likely to be an issue.
