I sort of evolved over time. The Whopper was my original favorite. When I moved to Texas it was the Barbecue on every corner. Brisket smoked over wood fire for 16 hours just destroys flame broiled hamburger. Every one was different but it was hard to find barbecue that wasn't good. It became a trade off between thousands of mom and pop Tex Mex or Barbecue. I was in Heaven for years until my doctor checked my cholesterol. All good things must end.

I've eaten at McD's in Paris, France, and Germany before. I wasn't impressed.
When I lived in Tujunga, CA we had a friend of the family whose kid could not eat meat, but the doctor said it was OK to eat McDonald's because there was not enough meat in them to cause any damage.
Panda Express or Culver's.
That is awesome. When I was in France, I learned to LOVE mayo with my fries. The Brits pour vinegar on theirs and I did not care for that much.
Once in Florida two heath nuts saw me dipping my fries in mayo and they said I might as well clamp a pair of vice grips on my arteries.
Carl's Jr. has a pretty good fast food burger.
Culver's has a remarkably good Reuben and is the only fast food place I know of with a Reuben on the menu.
Popeye's for fried chicken but ONLY the chicken. Their side orders are gross.

I actually think snackbars are healthier than regular fast food joints, here at least you have to wait for a little while (always under 10 minutes depending on how busy it is because the food takes about 4 minutes to be cooked) and cannot instantly gratify your craving for immediate food.
I agree, being in a hurry is not good for the digestion.
Once in Belize, a family would cook for pay when I was with a surfer friend of mine, and it took about 30 minutes but was well worth it.
They were just a family that lived close to the beach and had this little table outside. No menus, but it did not matter. We ate whatever they brought us, and paid them well.
PS...LOVE your kitty cat avatar. Cats and I have a special connection. Always have.
She was called Nicky and died aged 17 from cancer, but this is the way she loved to sleep with me

or this way, arms alongside either of my face and then she would sleep, or get cuddles which she loved

And food usually is better indeed when time and attention has been spent on it. I love eating from the snackbar but my favorite food is Chinese/Indonesian, costs twice or thrice the cost from the snackbar but then you can eat for 2 or 3 days straight with great tasting food.
it all tastes like garbage and is terrible for you. if i had to choose i'd say arbys.
True fastfood is not the way to eat all the time. But every once in awhile you gotta toss yourself a bone.
I try to eat healthy but........... I will admit it I like KFC and nothing like a 5 Guys Burger. Not every day of course.
Usually on Saturday my wife and I go treat our self to something not known to be healthy. And we eat every greasy french fry in that bag.
out of the restaurants listed, McDonalds, Panera, and Subway. Subway has healthier options, which i like, Panera has healthy options which taste better, and i eat at McDonalds for a treat.
I probably eat it at least twice a week on my way to work, just because it's fast, convenient, and a healthier alternative to the greasy slop the burger joints sell. I've never had any digestive issues.
I also don't exactly eat it for the "authenticity." lol
Mcdonald's gross.
Chipotle has a fairly decent selection
