Season 3 of A Certain Magical Index announced for next year. Should take the story to, and probably through the World War 3 story arc(which is as far as I have read).

First episode of Girls Last Tour is out, and it is best show of the season so far, but it is really early. Really great background art and background music, really set the mood.

Biggest surprise so far this season: Recovery of an MMO Junkie. Cute, mildly amusing, plays with tropes in a fun way, and the characters are honest to god adults.

First episode of The Ancient Magus Bride is every bit as good as hoped.

Blood Blockade Battlefront season 2 is good, real good. Not as good as the first season, but still really good. Hyperactive action and humor from start to finish.

UQ Holder is what you would expect from a Negima sequel. Looks like it is cutting parts out from the manga though.

Black Clover might be decent, but the hero is really, really annoying.

Third season of Food Wars is just exactly what you would expect. In this case that is a good thing.

Urahara just left me cold.

Recovery of an MMO Junkie is pure win.

Girls Last Tour looks and sounds great. Story will be the question going forward, as in does it have one. 2 volumes into the manga and there is no overarching story at all.

Twocar I made it 5 minutes in. Did not catch my attention at all.

Blend S is awesome. Girl gets job at a cafe where each of the waitresses play a character type. Our hero gets to play a sadist, because she can have a mean look in her eye. Much funnier than it sounds.

The Ancient Magus Bride is probably going to be best show of season.

Anime-Gitaris is meh. I will watch the second episode, but I can see it getting dropped early in the season if it does not improve.

New season of Himouto is about what you would expect. If you liked the first season, you will probably like the second.

Is that show any good? Never actually watched it, but I see a ton of references to it.

same here looks like a cute fluffy some what furry show but have not seen

its a parody but dam it currently my fav anime
may be some violence and bad language

allso ancient magus bride is not bad but they made those baby dragons to cute to cute by far dam it

Fall review and WInter preview time:

The best two shows of the fall where both big surprises. Girls Last Tour was funny and deep and had a neat look. 2 girls wandering around the end of the world should not have been nearly so good. Recovery of an MMO Junkie was hilariously funny at times, had a nice romance story, and likable characters. Really good. After that, Food Wars, March Comes In Like A Lion(probably third best show of season), UQ Holder where all good. Kino's Journey was the big disappointment, a show that should have been good, but never was

On to new stuff. This is just stuff I watched, there is a whole lot I am not even going to bother with.

Citrus: trashy yuri stuff. I was yawning 15 minutes into the first episode, and asleep before the end of it. Fell asleep during the second episode too. Did not bother to watch any more.

Darling in the FRANXX: Now this is more like it. Giant fighting robots, called Evangelion FRANXX, depressing male lead named Shinji 016, mysterious female lead named Rei 002. It is clearly trying for a NGE feel, and succeeding. Dark, violent, lots of sexual themes(the robots are piloted by male/female couples, the female kneels on all 4s in front of the male pilot, but to him, and the controls come out the back of her suit). It is something I should not like, and usually wouldn't, but it works really well actually. Done by studio TRIGGER(of Kill La Kill fame), it has a different look, but no studio does action scenes better. Best show of the season so far.

School Babysitters: boy with baby brother loses parents in a plane crash. He is taken in at a school in need of daycare help. Plot is feels, + cute little kids. First episode was not bad, going to give it a chance. Nothing great though, not sure I will stay with it all season.

Karakai Jōzu no Takagi-san: Well, this was unexpectedly excellent. Two kids sit at the back of the class. They clearly have a crush on each other. Girl plays pranks on boy. He inevitably falls for them. It is cute, and funny, and kinda sweet, and surprisingly entertaining.

Killing Bites: Boobs, panties, blood. Pure trash, but kinda fun.

How To Keep a Mummy: Kinda cute show about a guy who keeps a mummy that is about 4 inches tall. I am giving it one more episode, but kinda bland and dull.

Pop Team Epic: this is worth a watch. It did not work for me, all the jokes fell flat, but for those it does work for, they find it hilarious.

Ms. Koizumi Loves Ramen: Sometimes shows like this are surprisingly entertaining. This is not one of those times.

A Place Further Than The Universe: On the other hand, this show is one of those surprisingly good shows. It is about some high school girls who decide to go to the south pole.

Yuru Camp: Yuru translates as "laid back". It is about camping. It is slow paced. Not much happens. It has so far kept me interested.

March Comes In Like A Lion: continues to be excellent. Highly recommended series.

Ancient Magus Bride: Great art, decent story. Beauty and the beast meets urban fantasy.

Dagashi Keshi season 2: This season episodes are only 12 minutes, which works great. SO far though, the parts cut out for the runtime reduction are the great slice of life in a small country town parts, and the parts kept in are the tons of trivia about Japanese candy. If it focuses more on the characters than the candy, it will be pretty good, if not, it should cure insomnia.

any place you can legally watch girls last tour for free? dont believe its on crunchy roll

dam it jibrill this is why we cant have nice things spoilers for no game no life zero
which was nice and made for some good drama but i feel you might need to read the light novel to be clear on whats going on and even then i think they change some stuff not to sure only ever read part of that book

they double down on the loli fetish jokes but still worth a watch if you like no game no life ( i sure do ^^ )

And it is time for last season review and new season comments. From last season, Karakai Jōzu no Takagi-san and A Place Further than the Universe where the two big winners among new shows, and March Comes In Like a Lion was the best show overall. Takagi-san was especially awesome, sweet and funny look at middle school romance.

New season:

Love To-Lie-Angle: To-lie-ange, triangle, get it? Short anime featuring a yuri harem. Not very good, but short.

Steins;Gate 0: If you watched the original Steins;Gate, you will need to watch this. If you haven't, what the hell is wrong with you, go watch it. Can't say more without ruining some of the surprises. It is great so far.

Comic Girls: a boarding house for girls who want to be manga artists. Ranges from terrible to hilarious. Not sure I will make it through the whole season watching it, but so far I am sticking with it.

Full Metal Panic! Invisible Victory: Holy hell, finally, season 4, and it is great. If you have not seen the earlier seasons, you have no chance with the new season, but for those who have watched it, it is all kinda of great.

My Hero Academia, Season 3: every bit as good as the first 2 seasons.

Food Wars, Season whatever the hell it is now: Still fun, still looks decent, the artists still cannot figure out what breasts actually look like.

Love Is Tough For An Otaku: easily the best new series of the season. Romance involving actual, honest to god adults.

It is that time again, summer 2018 initial impressions:

Island: mystery/suspense/time travel, with generic...well, everything. Could be good, but I won't find out. Just did not interest me in the first episode.
Hanebado: Badminton, the anime. Heavy drama, weirdly focused on sweat, but interesting characters and the badminton scenes are beautifully animated. Has promise, will keep watching
How NOT to Summon a Demon Lord: Or a better title would be How NOT to be Interesting. Really bad.
Harukana Receive: Beach Volleyball, the anime. Boobs are bouncing, butts are...cracking, camels are toeing. Kinda mindless fun, but a good fun.
Chio's School Road: Holy hell this is pretty awesome. The first episode starts with Chio staying up all night playing Assassin's Creed, running late to school, finding the shortest route to school blocked off for construction, so she goes all Assassin's Creed going to school. Hilarious, good fun.
Planet With: Stop me if you have heard this plot before. A kid has amnesia, gets taken in by a maid and a human sized cat named Sensei, when a giant stuffed animal with the kanji for "peas" comes flying toward the city, a group of superheroes goes to intercept it. Meanwhile, the amnesia kid gets called by the maid and told his mission is to stop the superheroes. And then it gets weird. OK, I have never seen anything like this, but it is pretty interesting so far, and the brains behind it is the guy who wrote Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer, which was pretty awesome. Definitely watching.
Cells at Work: schoolhouse rock, the anime version. So awesome. Platelets are way too cute!
Drop Kick on my Devil: wants to be Bludgeoning Angel Dokuro-Chan, but fails. Badly. Really badly.
Happy Sugar Life: Makes Future Diary look kind hearted, and has even more twisted plot twists. Not my thing, but could be fore some. Note: the title is incredibly deceptive.
Yuuna and the Haunted Hot Springs: Boobs! Butts! Panties! The hero falls down, and ends up face to crotch with a girl, and gets the **** kicked out of him. He gets tripped and accidentally grabs a girls boob, and gets the **** kicked out of him. Yes, this is old school fanservice harem comedy, but that is kinda a good thing.

Im currently watching the entire Outlaw Star series. I cant believe how close the material is to my space opera books- seems we hit on all the same tropes lol.

any one watch goblin slayer yet?

im not going to say horrific things are bad to have in a show but the characters and society seem way to dumb to be believable

the victims and the people around them should have known better it would be one thing if they weer reasonably knowable or prepared or desperate and thing just went south any way

but they happily walked into their doom as an excuse to show how terribly the goblins are and how edgy the show is

but only 1 episod in maybe things will get better written

One I liked a lot is The Irresponsible Captain Tylor

One I liked a lot is The Irresponsible Captain Tylor

that scene with the marines pulling the flower petals was clasic
