Is that show any good? Never actually watched it, but I see a ton of references to it.
Fall review and WInter preview time:
The best two shows of the fall where both big surprises. Girls Last Tour was funny and deep and had a neat look. 2 girls wandering around the end of the world should not have been nearly so good. Recovery of an MMO Junkie was hilariously funny at times, had a nice romance story, and likable characters. Really good. After that, Food Wars, March Comes In Like A Lion(probably third best show of season), UQ Holder where all good. Kino's Journey was the big disappointment, a show that should have been good, but never was
On to new stuff. This is just stuff I watched, there is a whole lot I am not even going to bother with.
Citrus: trashy yuri stuff. I was yawning 15 minutes into the first episode, and asleep before the end of it. Fell asleep during the second episode too. Did not bother to watch any more.
Darling in the FRANXX: Now this is more like it. Giant fighting robots, calledEvangelionFRANXX, depressing male lead namedShinji016, mysterious female lead namedRei002. It is clearly trying for a NGE feel, and succeeding. Dark, violent, lots of sexual themes(the robots are piloted by male/female couples, the female kneels on all 4s in front of the male pilot, but to him, and the controls come out the back of her suit). It is something I should not like, and usually wouldn't, but it works really well actually. Done by studio TRIGGER(of Kill La Kill fame), it has a different look, but no studio does action scenes better. Best show of the season so far.
School Babysitters: boy with baby brother loses parents in a plane crash. He is taken in at a school in need of daycare help. Plot is feels, + cute little kids. First episode was not bad, going to give it a chance. Nothing great though, not sure I will stay with it all season.
Karakai Jōzu no Takagi-san: Well, this was unexpectedly excellent. Two kids sit at the back of the class. They clearly have a crush on each other. Girl plays pranks on boy. He inevitably falls for them. It is cute, and funny, and kinda sweet, and surprisingly entertaining.
Killing Bites: Boobs, panties, blood. Pure trash, but kinda fun.
How To Keep a Mummy: Kinda cute show about a guy who keeps a mummy that is about 4 inches tall. I am giving it one more episode, but kinda bland and dull.
Pop Team Epic: this is worth a watch. It did not work for me, all the jokes fell flat, but for those it does work for, they find it hilarious.
Ms. Koizumi Loves Ramen: Sometimes shows like this are surprisingly entertaining. This is not one of those times.
A Place Further Than The Universe: On the other hand, this show is one of those surprisingly good shows. It is about some high school girls who decide to go to the south pole.
Yuru Camp: Yuru translates as "laid back". It is about camping. It is slow paced. Not much happens. It has so far kept me interested.
March Comes In Like A Lion: continues to be excellent. Highly recommended series.
Ancient Magus Bride: Great art, decent story. Beauty and the beast meets urban fantasy.
Dagashi Keshi season 2: This season episodes are only 12 minutes, which works great. SO far though, the parts cut out for the runtime reduction are the great slice of life in a small country town parts, and the parts kept in are the tons of trivia about Japanese candy. If it focuses more on the characters than the candy, it will be pretty good, if not, it should cure insomnia.
any place you can legally watch girls last tour for free? dont believe its on crunchy roll
Naruto is the king of filler.
One I liked a lot is The Irresponsible Captain Tylor
