Chicago police fired a gun during a possible chase and exchange of gunfire with a suspect on the inbound Eisenhower Expressway Thursday afternoon near west suburban Hillside, officials said.
The shooting took place in the eastbound lanes near Mannheim Road about 4:15 p.m., Illinois State Police Trooper Kyle Barrett said.

Where does the article say that it was "FATAL?"

In fact, it says "t was not clear if anyone was shot. . . ."
 
I am glad the police did not kill the suspect so we can have some answers in the murder he is suspected to be a part of. I will not shed a tear because police shot someone who allegedly committed a murder, ran from police wrecking his car and was trying to carjack another individual. It will be interesting to see of the two firearms collected will be connected to any other unsolved murders.

If a suspect who allegedly committed a murder, ran from police wrecking his car and was trying to carjack another individual...turned out to be innocent of murder, what then ?

Dylann Roof was taken to Burger King after his crimes.

Kyle Rittenhouse was actually thanked by the police for his actions.

We know both of these killers engaged in criminal activity, yet it seems they were not in danger of being killed.

And you keep proving you’re a racist and can’t see past color. Do you want to debate the story in the OP of a criminal getting shot in the commission of multiple crimes or simply spam your race batting gimmick everyplace

If you haven't heard, black lives do matter. I see race because race is the topic du jour. When you are colorblind and denying racism, institutional racism, white privilege, and white supremacy, I would strongly think twice before calling others racist.

I've said often that the conversation would be more honest if we spoke of "people shot" instead of "people shot and killed".
