Face masks and protection against COVID-19 and other viral respiratory infections: Assessment of benefits and harms in children

There continues to be a lack of reliable data to support recommendations for children to wear masks to prevent respiratory infections. At the same time, there are numerous potential harms associated with mask wearing, especially in young children, some readily apparent and others more subtle and challenging to quantify.
In this review, we consider the reported harms and theoretical concerns about masking children in the context of the lack of high-quality evidence of protection against transmission of respiratory infections, including COVID-19."

The study on injecting bleach also reached no conclusions when the study subjects all mysteriously died.

This is like China paying the American import tariffs. Facemasks don't protect the ones wearing them ( for the thousandsth time), they protect others from the wearers.
Surgeons don't wear masks to protect themselves. How many times does this need to be said?

I have stated that those regular cloth masks are of no use those years back when this COVID epidemic started. I showed a study that showed filtering levels by mask type.

But no.....

Too many people trust in the government.

Well, maybe he was ableto read the full study. With what I learned those yeas ago when we started debating this. I agree with him.

I took a quick look to find the study from a source I had access to and have not found it yet. This much is sure. Unless you are going to wear a high quality mask that properly seals on the face, masking is little better than the 6ft social distancing.

Masks are not 100% protective. However, they certainly are better than not wearing a mask. Both to prevent you, if you happen to be a person who may feel well, but has an asymptomatic infection that you don't even know about, to prevent you from infecting someone else," said Fauci

Masks are fine if you choose a properly sealed N95 quality mask.

Go back in history to those threads. I have discussed this extensively with links. this is not an issue for today, and i have better things to do.

a surgical mask is not for filtering viruses. it keeps the surgeon from sneezing et al during surgery on the patient

children were mostly immune from Covid
