Some on the right still pretend that the old conservative adage WHATS GOOD FOR THE BUSINESS OF AMERICA IS BUSINESS. The mighty dollar reigns supreme - even able the graves of our fallen soldiers enforcing a foreign policy that they actively undermined with a foreign government just to make a dollar. Or a million or even billion.

We shall see as he will be Secretary of State putting some actual business principles into our foreign policies. How has Tillerson opposed national interests and isn't the interest of shareholders, many of whom are seniors in the national interest?

2.8 million American voters embraced Clinton over Trump so that demonstrates the support of the American people.
The Dems gained seats in the House.
The Dems gained seats in the Senate.

Hillary has set the bar so low for the Secretary of State that Tillerson will blow that out of the water. Creating profit is a four letter word to the left. It is going to be a long eight years for you watching the left ideology destroyed

Yes, 4 million votes of that popular vote win came out of California and another 3 million came from NYC and Chicago. Democrats do not control any branch of the govt.

Every citizen has a right to engage in a nation debate about the foreign policy goals of our nation. That is what Kerry did.

When a citizen engages with a foreign government and creates their own foreign policy opposed to our governments policy and knows that American soldiers are engaged in carrying that policy out - they have placed heir own concerns about those of their fellow Americans. And that disqualifes Tillerson from this position of responsibility.

While party loyalty is important, so is serving some justice and the people and while some smoldering can be stamped out, blazes do need some hosing. We must have some faith that our representatives at least occasionally do the right thing.

No embarrassment as all as I understand our private sector economy and you don't. I also understand the role of a CEO which you do not. I have no problem with corporate profits as i understand them, you don't

There is no evidence that Tillerson ever put profits above US Service lives but keep making things up

You raised the issue of qualifications and I point to Hillary and Obama which make Tillerson over qualified for the office based upon their actual results.

Then I suppose it all depends on what you think is the right thing. For me, that would be letting a new POTUS (for whom I did not vote) have the people he wants so he can get on with the nation's business.

Oh - the Republican Senate will confirm Tillerson. They will fall in line and salute and do their leaders bidding. And that is an indictment of their lack of true principles as well as their phony baloney love of their country. They will pick party over patriotism. They are very good at that.

There is an old saying in politics...... Democrats fall in love while Republicans fall in line

Tillerson and Trump will be thankful for that line giving them a salute of obedience.
