The FBI records the emails of nearly all US citizens, including members of congress, according to NSA whistleblower William Binney. In an interview with RT, he warned that the government can use this information against anyone.
RT: And it’s not just about those, who could be planning, who could be a threat to national security, but also those, who could be just…
WB: It’s everybody. The Naris device, if it takes in the entire line, so it takes in all the data. In fact they advertised they can process the lines at session rates, which means 10-gigabit lines. I forgot the name of the device (it’s not the Naris) – the other one does it at 10 gigabits. That’s why they're building Bluffdale [database facility], because they have to have more storage, because they can’t figure out what’s important, so they are just storing everything there. So, emails are going to be stored there in the future, but right now stored in different places around the country. But it is being collected – and the FBI has access to it.
RT: You mean it’s being collected in bulk without even requesting providers?
WB: Yes.

Carnivore is another name iirc.
And Obama wants to take away our rights to bear arms.
Ain't that just spiffy? Stalin would be so proud.
And Obama wants to take away our rights to bear arms. Nice combination. Big Brother and his Happy & Merry Police State.
Yep. Of course our intel agencies are going to use these data mining tools to monitor "subversive" activities and it makes it quite easy to follow dangerous nuts as well as to allow far fewer agents to monitor far more things. No longer must one translate analog voice cellphone/landline/radio data into digital format, the internet/social network sites to that for them now. This is nothing new at all, after all where did the internet initially come from? Yep, the gov't gave it to us. Many are volunteering to be watched, advertising their contacts and even making it super simple for gov't agents to add themselves as "friends" to get in on the future plans as well. It is every spy's dream come true.

Yea, Stalin would be proud, and I am pissed. But here is my problem with this. During the Bush administration, Republicans told me to shut up and be a patriot when I brought this subject up. Yea, Obama doing this is anti-American, but I submit to you that Republicans are not only anti-American, by grade A hypocrites too. The ONLY reason they bring this up is becuase the other guys get to do it, and when they are in office, they think it's perfectly OK, and even dare to call people who are against it unAmerican.
So yes, this smacks of Stalinism, whether it is a Democrat or a Republican in the White House. But you never jumped all over the Republicans when they were doing it, did you? That tells me one hell of a lot about your motive, which is not to decry something that goes against what America stands for, but political posturing instead, for the sake of politics over country and what is right.
if you ever find out the backstory, please post it hereThis all goes back to the Patriot Act that was written and prepared and waiting for an event to facilitate its' passage by Congress. Much like the Iraq war just needed an excuse to get it started. I'd like to know who/what is really behind the Patriot Act. Is it an intelligence "coup?" I don't mean a master stroke in spymanship but as an integral cog in some kind of subversion.
Welcome to America.. Civil liberties arent are there...Ain't that just spiffy? Stalin would be so proud.
Yea.... Have any proof on this one... :roll:And Obama wants to take away our rights to bear arms.
America has slowly been turning into a police state since the 50's...Nice combination. Big Brother and his Happy & Merry Police State.

Boys and Girls... Know thy Parasite Nation Leader.Yea.... Have any proof on this one...
No, he doesn't, but I do so love idiotic conservative rhetoric.
...has Mr. Obama consistently supported individuals’ rights to own guns and opposed the D.C. handgun ban? Last November, Mr. Obama’s campaign told the Chicago Tribune that “Obama believes the D.C. handgun law is constitutional.” After the Illinois senator’s statement supporting the Supreme Court striking down the ban, the campaign quickly disowned the Chicago Tribune quote as a staffer’s “inartful attempt” to characterize his position.
Yet, Mr. Obama personally voiced support for the D.C. ban at other times. In February, he did this himself, not something that he could blame on a staffer.
ABC New’s local Washington, D.C. anchor, Leon Harris, asked Mr. Obama: “One other issue that’s of great importance here in the district as well is gun control … but you support the D.C. handgun ban.” Mr. Obama’s simple response: “Right.” When Mr. Harris said “And you’ve said that it’s constitutional,” Mr. Obama again says “right” and is clearly seen on tape nodding his head “yes.”
But this is not new. Mr. Obama has a long history of supporting city gun bans. The Associated Press described his 2004 vote on a gun control bill: “He also opposed letting people use a self-defense argument if charged with violating local handgun bans by using weapons in their homes. The bill was a reaction to a Chicago-area man who, after shooting an intruder, was charged with a handgun violation.”
A candidate questionnaire shows that Mr. Obama supported a ban on handguns in 1996. In 1998, he backed a ban on the sale of all semiautomatic guns (a ban that would encompass the vast majority of guns sold in the U.S.) In 2004, he advocated banning gun sales within five miles of a school or park (essentially a ban on all guns sold in almost all the states). Possibly, even more importantly, he served on the board of the Joyce Foundation, probably the largest private funder of anti-gun and pro-ban groups and research in the country.
The Obama campaign “flatly denied” the 1996 statement supporting a ban on handguns, blaming it instead on a staffer from his state senate race who they said had incorrectly filled out the candidate questionnaire. But the Politico obtained a copy of the statement and found Mr. Obama’s own handwritten notes on it indicating that he had personally checked and corrected answers.

Obama's stance on the 2nd Amendment is well known from as far back as his days as a guest lecturer at Harvard.
Fast & Furious was part of that scheme.

Sweet he USED to push those positions now hes been laid back and quiet on the whole thing.
Ill jut ignore the ignorant no proof question about the Fast and Furious thing...
this has nothing to do with gun control..You will also ignore Holder lying and a dead agent from guns delivered from the Obama Squad?
Of course you will.
Connecting the dots is not something Socialists do very well.. for if they would... they wouldn't be Socialists.
And Obama wants to take away our rights to bear arms. .
No more short sleeves!
When I wrote about the Patriot Act it was to point out Dems stood by Bush's side with smiles.
Other than that I never commented on it much.
Nice try though.
