Everybody Loves a Parade 😉

Birthday parade weather forecast.

I hope people connected to the military in one way or another who went enjoyed it.

Estimates are that about 5 million people showed up at No Kings Protests across the US today…and the Trump Birthday parade had hoped for 200K, but it’s looking like a fraction of that number showed up

🤷‍♀️

And there were live feeds of him practically falling asleep and Rubio literally yawning on camera in the VIP stage

Why did a civilian salute the military? Didn't anyone tell Cadet Bonespurs not to do that?

Courtesy and respect is why. There is no requirement for the President as Commander-in-Chief to return a military salute. Doing so was not a common practice until Reagon began returning salutes.

Regardless how people feel about the parade, I think it a shame the major networks did not broadcast it. Only Fox News and old reliable C-SPAN , that I've found, are broadcasting the events.

You’re spitting into the wind here. The people that tend to frequent these threads absolutely hate America and hate anything that smacks of respect or admiration for any of the ideas or organizations that allow them to be as hateful as they have become.

The parade and ceremony were unabashedly patriotic and the liberal denizens of DP will only trash it like they do the streets of any city where they exercise the freedom that the Army fought to secure for them and continues to fight to preserve for them.

What did you do in the military again? I seem to have forgotten.

I have my DD214 from the USMC, so you should revise your claim.

Im not sharing my crayons with the Army.

Weird…my US Army Ranger Vietnam Veteran FIL thinks this parade was an absolute disgrace and disrespectful treatment of our military.

(He also has a few choice words to describe the draft dodger President who threw it…he’s not a fan of draft dodgers)

They certainly have earned the right to their opinion. This Vietnam veteran thinks differently.

There probably isn't a lot of demand for military parades. I can see people involved with the military in some capacity enjoying it, and more power to them. But there aren't that many of them.

It was a neat parade.
I loved the thank you to and recognition of the U.S. Army!!!

I learned our family West Point graduate and Army Officer was also an Army Ranger and I never knew that until we saw that Army Ranger clip today.

I proudly remembered the Army Soldier in my immediate family, as well as my dad who was in the Navy and my grandfather who was a Marine.

I loved hearing all the words from so many Soldiers. I loved seeing all the equipment old and new (the robotic dogs were amazing).

I really, really loved the patriotic fireworks display.

I loved the whole thing, and it left me feeling incredibly proud and lucky to be an American.

And those who were so sure Trump would make this day about him - he didn't make a second of it about him. It was a beautiful 250 year tribute to all the men and women (past and present) of the United States Army.

Happy 79th birthday to the 47th president of the United States and thank you for caring enough about our country's brave military members to want to honor them like happened today. Loved it!

Bullshit post!

In what world should a US military parade have corporate sponsors?

A number of corporations, including Oracle, Amazon, Coinbase, Lockheed Martin, Palantir, Stellantis, Coca-Cola, Walmart, UFC, Phorm Energy, Nextdoor, FedEx, and Scotts Miracle-Gro, are sponsors of the event.

In what world? Our world.

What benefit does America250, a nonprofit organization, acquire from their 22 plus corporate sponsors/partners? What's the scoop?

Look, if that's the best reason you have to hate America and hate the Army and hate Trump then more power to you.

President prior to Reagan didn’t salute the military. He started the trend.

What’s next, selling patch space on the uniforms? Having corporate logos flash across a billboard while the parade is in progresss is tacky to say the least.

Two examples.

With due respect, that's not an answer to my question. If I knew or could locate a reliable answer, I would write a statement rather than ask the question.

What benefit does America250, a nonprofit organization, acquire from their 22 plus corporate sponsors/partners? What's the scoop?
