So the GOP thinks they will take the Senate. I am not a profit so who knows but nothing will change anyway. The GOP will not have a veto proof majority so the gridlock will continue until 2016, the nation will see what obstructive idiots the GOP is and Hillary will have democratic control over the house and the Senate. This is a very real possibility and for the sake of the country lets hope it happens and we can put the regressive, hypocritical, obstructive and down right mean GOP out to pasture where they belong and get on with socialized health care and all those other things the GOP is stuck in the mud on.

If that time comes, legislation that is passed and vetoed will squarely place the blame on the Dem's shoulders. Just as it always has been this cycle.

I love how the Gopers love to celebrate elections before losing them, LOL they are all giddy about taking the senate, while ugly Bitch Mcconnel is fighting for his political life in Redneck KY, not to mention Hagen has pulled ahead in NC, and Peters is comfortably ahead in Michigan, lol...

Remember 2 years ago all of the Gopers were yapping about President Romney..

reminds me of what generation 1 era Megatron from the old Transformers cartoon, said in a episode after he and his Decepticon followers lost a battle to the Autobots.

"We have been cheated of our victory. decepticons, Retreat! RETREAT!"

The House passed over three-hundred bills, sitting dead in the senate. Should Republican's take the senate, those three-hundred, plus a few more, will sit on the president's desk, instead of Harry Reid's. So, the OP is somewhat correct that Democrats may still be able to block legislation.

On the other hand, the public now knows who the obstructionists are and media claims to the contrary have been exposed as lies. As with Clinton who lost the senate mid-term and had to move right, so it will be with Obama. Once the people speak, through election, the new direction will be required. Keeping in mind, those six-years of Republican House and Senate rule under Clinton were some very good years for the economy.

Regarding McConnell's race, there are many conservatives who would like nothing better than to see McConnell lose. Even if it costs the senate majority. What good is a majority, when the leader wants the same big-government solutions as Democrats? McConnell supports Obamacare and all the fat, bloated tax-and-spend programs liberals like. Democrats who are worried about losing the senate should relish McConnell's win, because if he wins, they win. With McConnell as Republican leader, there will be no stopping the liberal money train. If, on the other hand, Republican's win the senate and McConnell loses, Democrat spending is over.

Maybe. Maybe not. But one thing would also be true, the Dems would no longer be able to obstruct holding the Unconstitutional bastard accountable.

No. I will be placed on the lame duck out-going President.

What are you talking about? The House can impeach now. The Senate needs 67 votes to convict. NO WAY on earth are the GOP getting 18 new senators.

Bush left office in 2009.

Novembers gonna sting for the dems.

Still plenty of time for the mainstream media to convince everyone that contraceptives are the single most important issue facing the nation. And that those mean old Republican's intend to take away every contraceptive from every shelf in every store in the country.

That Republican's secret agenda is to "pull back the hair" of women, despite the fact that nine out of ten abuser's are Democrats. Wasserman-Schultz accidentally let the cat out early, because Democrats wanted to use that line a week before the election. Expect the same last-minute offensive language and false-accusations, though. It worked last time, no reason to believe it won't work this election.

Its possible, but I dont forsee it. Of course, the media will be the dems lapdog to the end.

Who is a Dem and is the head of the Dems.
Therefore ... squarely placed on the Dem's shoulders.

That is ridiculous...believe what you need, that does not make it reality. Your logic is mind-boggling.

Another difference will be immigration. Like when the president promised to let Putin invade countries, if only Putin would wait for Obama to be elected; Obama's threatening to give unilateral amnesty to every foreign terrorist and criminal after this November's election. While it may appear not to matter, if Republican's win, there's a very good change to mitigate, slow-down or stop Obama's terrorist amnesty.

Obstructive? Who would be being obstructed?

The reason I will vote GOP is because I WANT them to obstruct. If they take the Senate this year, that means that that is probably what the rest of America wants too. When the policies are so horrible, the best thing to do is obstruct them.

This was the most trolling OP I've seen in a while.

Its certainly possible but this is also an opportunity for congress to improve its image by shocking BO with veto overrides for things the public wants.
Time will tell.

That would be an interesting scenario. I'd almost like to see it happen just to see what Obama does when a bunch of legislation starts landing on his desk and he is forced to deal with it directly.

i actually dont think deadlock will continue if republicans take the senate.

more than likely obama will start comprimising with dirty harry out of the way,and republicans as well with threat of veto, while with harry running the show, bills get blocked to protect his fellow democrats from ridicule.

No, it won't work that way. That's because the Democrats believe in governing. So although they'll stand up for what they believe in, they will more likely compromise and work with the other side to move the country along....govern.

The Republicans in Congress now are anti-government, so don't believe in governing, and apparently don't care if non-governance hurts people (which it has). So they don't anguish over obstruction or not doing their job.

You call this governing? Democrats run almost everything. They have the presidency, the senate, most of the Supreme Court Justices and they've kicked-out all but the extreme left in virtually every government agency (and those agencies now write regulations with the force of law). Democrats have a lock on government, yet can't seem to govern at all? And in cities and towns where Democrats rule without opposition, look what happens? Detroit hasn't had a single Republican mayor or city council for over fifty-years.

Look what happens when Democrats are in charge? Look at Chicago. All Democrats. Is that what we want people? We want America to look like Detroit or Chicago? Why elect any Democrats at all? Only cutting our own throats by electing corrupt Democrats who claim to "govern," but in fact, destroy.

Elect Republican's, if you want clean and safe streets.
