That the acceptance of such unethical behavior at these levels is in itself unethical and casts dispersion on our national character.

Well I would say supporting the legalization of killing it unborn babies is pretty unethical far far worse than anything Trump's ever done. That hurts our national character far worse again.
And that's just one of the many unethical things Biden has done.

That few care about that is further proof of the case I’m making, because if it weren’t true the majority of us would give a shite.

What the article is saying here is the same point I made before demonstrating historical data from previous elections. There are aspects where he fared better, and winning all the swing states and the popular vote are two areas, but "trouncing" is pretty generous.
