EU Releases Names of Nine Individuals Sanctioned for Donbas Elections

The names of nine individuals involved in holding the elections in occupied Donbas have been published in the official journal of the European Union. This means that the individuals have now been officially added to the sanctions list. The individuals include those who were occupying positions in the improvized “Central Electoral Commision,” as well as alleged winner of the elections. Their visas to EU territories are revoked and their assets are frozen. The names stated in the Council Decision (CFSP) 2018/1930 are as follows:

Olga Valeriyivna Pozdnyakova- chairperson of the Central Electoral Commission of the so-called “Donetsk People’s Republic”
Olena Valeriyivna Kravchenko- chairperson of the Central Electoral Commission of the so-called “Luhansk People’s Republic”
Leonid Ivanovych Pasichnyk- “elected leader” of “Luhansk People’s Republic”
Vladmir Anatoliyovych Bidiovka- chairperson of the so-called “People’s Council” of the “Donetsk People’s Republic”
Denis Nikolaevich Miroshnichenko- chairperson of the so-called “People’s Council” of the “Luhansk People’s Republic”
Oleksii Oleksiyovych Naydenko- deputy chair of the Central Electoral Commission of the “Donetsk People’s Republic”
Volodymyr Yuriyovych Vysotskyi- secretary of the Central Electoral Commission of the “Donetsk People’s Republic”
Maksym Oleksandrovych Svidchenko- deputy chair of the Central Electoral Commission of the “Luhansk People’s Republic”
Ekateryna Vasylivna Tereshchenko- secretary of the Central Electoral Commission of the “Luhansk People’s Republic.”

There are now around 175 names in total on the EU sanctions list, which includes legal persons, entities and bodies.

The above individuals organized and followed-through with the sham elections in the occupied territories of eastern Ukraine at the direction of Moscow.
