Estimate: 680,000 Gazans murdered; 380,000 under 5 years old

There were a bit more than 2m civilians in Gaza prior to the October 7 massacres initiating this war and there are about the same number of civilians in Gaza today two years later. It's idiotic and it's a claim only made by those who happen to also support genocidal antisemitic monsters which makes it ironic.
Have you counted them? When?

Wasn't the population of Gaza 2.2 million?

That's the usual number given, yes at least there or thereabouts
And haven't many fled?

This is the truly ignorant part.

People are sealed in by the Israeli state AND Egypt. They can only flee to different parts of the Strip so they are all still there save for a tiny amount who may have slipped out via some hidden route
Israel admits 200,000 Palestinians have been killed or injured in the war in Gaza.

Israel lies for a living so their figures can be treated with a huge pinch of salt
Hamas-run Health Ministry indicate over 64,000 deaths from direct conflict.

That's people they KNOW are dead, people whose bodies they have seen or have been seen by the doctors etc, it doesn't include those counted as missing most of which will be under the rubble or in mass graves
Now, 680.000 dead would result in what... Approximately 1.3 - 1.4 million remaining?

Do the numbers make sense to you?

How do you know how many are still alive? you don't.

Nobody knows for sure how many people have been murdered or killed by the Israeli military in Gaza and that's kind of the lesson to be learned.

The Hamas figures are most certainly a massive under count and the Israeli figures are too influenced by PR considerations to be readily believed , their reputation as professional liars doesn't help either.

Either way the UN just came right out and called it a genocide, so genocide supporters such as yourself shouldn't be taken seriously on this subject either imo

Were the media and "humanitarian missions" embedded in the October 7, 2023 artists? I intensely dislike the double-standard. It seems that the rules bend against the Jews.

Define " embedded " ?

I recall Honest Reporting ( you will know them ) tried to make that claim and had to crawl away from it ?

The double standards ? the ones I am aware of mostly favour the Israeli state.

So, yes. Correct.

This is the truly ignorant part.

People are sealed in by the Israeli state AND Egypt. They can only flee to different parts of the Strip so they are all still there save for a tiny amount who may have slipped out via some hidden route

So, yes. People fled.

That's people they KNOW are dead, people whose bodies they have seen or have been seen by the doctors etc, it doesn't include those counted as missing most of which will be under the rubble or in mass graves

So, yes. Those are Hamas' numbers.

How do you know how many are still alive? you don't.

Did I say I did?

Nobody knows for sure how many people have been murdered or killed by the Israeli military in Gaza and that's kind of the lesson to be learned.

Nobody knows for sure exactly how many people have been killed by the Israeli military in Gaza

That is understood.

The Hamas figures are most certainly a massive under count and the Israeli figures are too influenced by PR considerations to be readily believed , their reputation as professional liars doesn't help either.

Hint: Hamas has been caught is so many lies as to be considered up there with the Israelis.

Either way the UN just came right out and called it a genocide, so genocide supporters such as yourself shouldn't be taken seriously on this subject either imo

Unfortunately, WSJ is one of the few "real" newspaper paywalls that I can't ignore just by reading the page source. But two million is not 2.2 million. Either you're saying they're saying it's really 200,000 people dead - which is possible - or you're saying two million is a roundoff error, in which case they're not ruling out 1.5 million surviving, and 700,000 dead. No matter which way I look at it, this headline is not convincing me the Hamas count is confirmed by independent reporting.

I doubt the 680k number is accurate
That's fair. It's currently the highest estimate that I've seen publicized.

The appropriate response, when this is even a possibility, is to demand access for the usual observers of war. On a search I see the ICRC is still able to bring in small amounts of food and run field hospitals - something I haven't seen much about in the press - but their access is vastly inadequate.

Bottom line, Gaza needs to surrender. They started a war against Israel that they cannot win. Even the Nazis and the imperial Japanese were more versible towards their own people than the leaders of Hamas, luxuriating in Doha.
How does a mother in Gaza who dug through the rubble of a refugee camp to try to retrieve her child's body, and is now watching her other child starve to death, surrender? How does that happen? Hamas is a terrorist organization, that has been utterly crippled by any measure, but what is left of them is still a terrorist organization, they will not surrender. If that is the goal, then just kill everyone in Gaza and be done with it.

When even the former prime minister of Israel, Olmert, believes Israel is committing war crimes and their legitimate military objectives have long been met, it has gone too far. Think of it this way. Right now as I type this, it is 4:25 AM in Israel. In a few hours, the sidewalks will be lined with full tables at cafes where Israelis are enjoying their morning breakfast, drinking coffee, snacking on a pastry. In the evening, those cafes will fill again while people enjoy dinner and drinks. Later on young people will fill clubs with people drinking and dancing and having a good time. Yet, only miles away, while this is happening, there is a literal famine. Children have been gunned down while lining up for food aid. Refugee camps have been bombed. Just miles away.

If you are ever in Paris, while you are sitting their enjoying wonderful meal and a beer or glass of wine and just watching the street scene, picture just a few miles away, possibly within walking distance, millions walled in and living in an unimaginable hell with famine, hospitals with few if any supplies, tents on top of bombed out rubble, women and children starving. It is an obscene thought, yet that is the situation in Israel today.

5 million Hamas supporters in Gaza were killed yesterday and 22.7 million of them were newborns.

There are a dozen or more small countries with populations smaller than the Gaza real estate extermination.
