Assistant Attorney General Andrew Amer played clips from Eric Trump’s recorded deposition in which he repeatedly made assertions that he didn’t know anything about his father’s financial statements and did not recall ever providing asset information to accounting personnel for the annual statements of financial condition.

The assistant attorney general then asked Eric Trump to concede now at trial that he knew, at the time of the documented exchanges with McConney, a co-defendant, that the information he provided about assets like Seven Springs and the Doral Golf Resort were for his father's financial statements.

Earlier in the trial, McConney testified that Eric Trump directed him to make certain decisions that led to the inflated valuations of several Trump properties.

Thursday, Eric Trump said “it just didn’t register” that the information was for his father’s personal statements of financial condition.

First it was Ivanka who knew nothing, then Fredo testified that he too knows nothing...

Now Eric insist that he's also a financial naif...

We know their sire is innumerate...

These people are complete frauds...they are a symbol of a Bent Game from which they have benefitted for 3 generations. These Pampered Populists couldn't run a novelty kiosk in a mall.

Everyone seems to be playing legal 'pass the parcel' and hoping they aren't holding the parcel when the judge stops the music. It's pretty obvious that the Trump children have been following the long established Trump family 'traditions' that they have inherited from daddy Trump, and maybe even daddy Trump got from grandad Trump. Doesn't give them any excuse, but it would make you hope that Donny is holding the parcel when the band stops playing. Watching how the Trump crime family have been carefully wording their answers, it's pretty obvious that they don't think what they were doing was legal.

Who is the injured party in this Lawfare case?

True & non fraudulent financial reporting is vital to a robust free market, especially one like NY which is a hub of finance.

If I call up a bank to get a business loan, and lie about my revenue, and the bank turned me down, should I be free to keep lying to banks until I find the sucker?

Is that the kind of state you'd want to operate in?

So you are saying there's no problem lying to banks. OK. If this case goes through, that's going to set an interesting new legal precedent, isn't it?
MAGA: "Fraud is fine as long as you make money"

In a way, replace money with power, and its a pretty good summation of the cult

Did you really think they wer going to give the prosecution anything 🤣

So you are saying there's no problem lying to banks. OK. If the courts say that's OK for the Trump family, that's going to set an interesting new legal precedent, isn't it?
How does the STATE know he lied when the bank didn't?

Did you really think they wer going to give the prosecution anything 🤣

No. But it really didn't matter, as the prosecution already had the evidence that they are lying. So all they did here was add perjury to the list of charges already against them.

This is just going from bad to worse for them. I don't think they are able to hire good legal counsel anymore. No one wants to be on that sinking ship.

This is what the Trump family legal defense team has come down to at this point:

So, the bank gave him a loan with ho appraisal on their end? That's unusual.
