Is it too early in the day for sarcasm? I would have thought the taco emojis were a dead giveaway.

My post was meant to mock Taco's about face regarding the Epstein list, and many MAGAs silent complicity in accepting his explanation that "there never was a list, carry on."

That's plausible, though it does beg the question why? She would maintain some hope of leverage by retaining it.

(Then again, destroying the list may have been insurance against -- ahem -- accidentally choking herself to death.)

Because writing down an obvious record of your highly illegal activity in a regular notebook or Google doc isn't a very good idea?

I think if Epstein had a list, it wouldn't be like anything most people think of when they think of this case. Likely an encrypted file on a hard drive only he knows about or a contact list that includes both clients and non-clients, possibly with some sort of identifying flag next to the clients that wouldn't be obvious to a stranger looking through the phone. Do people really think it's going to be a log that includes a set of columns for whether the escort was underage, whether there was sex, and who had it?

Ah, no. It's engaging in the highly illegal activity that isn't the good idea. Having leverage over the highly powerful people also engaged in that same highly illegal activity could be seen as a great way to avoid having to spend time in a highly secure prison. (Or worse, and as was the case, spending time in a not very secure prison.)
