Texas is gerrymandering but only after California, Illinois and New York have done so for years. Don't believe it, look at the number of seats democrats control in those states contrary to the actual vote numbers in this last election and elections for the past couple of decades. NY for instance has 19 of 26 seats in the House in a state where Trump won 43% of the vote. That's 73% of the seats but they only control 57% of the votes. California and illinois are the same. California has 82% of the seats in the House but Trump got 38% of the votes. Illinois contols 82% of the house seats but Trump received 45% of the vote. Democrats are crying for districts that are reflective of the vote but they sure don't have that in their states. They've been gerrymandering for decades.Typical of the socialist in the democrat party, the things they accuse republicans of are the very things they are doing. So lets be honest, the democrats are spreading BS as usual.

The other mystery is how otherwise seemingly good people can support such a criminal for leadership.
Recently I watched a
great documentary on the rise of fascism in Europe by Travel show host Rick Steves.
It was very well done and informative. It is absolutely worth the time to watch it. Anyone who loves America should watch this important documentary by renowned travel videographer Rick Steves.
I never knew that Hitler had been a convicted criminal and spent time in prison, nor that he wrote Mein Kampf while incarcerated. After serving his sentence he formed a following of anti establishment bullies who marched around in uniforms and became the Nazis; praising his book. It was a campaign of intimidation that caused people to look the other way at the atrocities of the Nazis. People were forced to either praise Hitler or face being roughed up or killed. Books were burned and it was proclaimed the only book anyone needed was the one Hitler wrote. Every aspect of society was strictly controlled. Freedom was lost. Anyone who didn't fit the model of the master race was shunned, beat up, forced to leave, imprisoned or killed.
Elected convicted criminal Trump demands similar loyalty now. People must choose to either support him or be shunned. There is a huge propaganda campaign. Immigrants are the scapegoats. They are routinely roughed up, imprisoned, treated very badly, even tortured, and then deported.
The three main fascist leaders of Europe were Hitler, Mussolini and Spain's Franco. They went about becoming dictators in different ways but many elements of their power had similarities with Trump. They all offered simplistic solutions to complex problems. Just as Trump does. America is in danger of losing our freedom and democracy; slipping into fascism. Maga doesn't want to admit that because they know it is shameful and wrong. But that is what is really happening. Look at how Trump is hiring the Proud Boys into ICE. They need no warrant. They are above the law. They will soon be operating just like the Gestapo. They already are, in many ways. Who is to stop them when they go beyond only attacking immigrants? How many people trust Trump to follow an order he doesn't like from the SCOTUS? Even the SCOTUS is afraid to issue such an order for surely if Trump ignores it it is the end of our Constitutional Republic.
America is in danger of failing. Supporters of MAGA are playing with fire. Trump's power is built on lies. He is just as dysfunctional as all the other fascist leaders, obsessed with power and adulation. He has gotten away with so many crimes he has no respect for the law. He believes he is above the law. He has gotten away with many rapes, even child rape. He is a known criminal but his lie-filled speeches fire up the poorly informed, disgruntled and dysfunctional. They ignore his problems because of their own dysfunction. Trump makes being an asshole seem OK. Assholes love him. This mass dysfunction is destroying our nation. We must reject this, put Trump in prison, attack the corruption that makes everyone hate our own government that we created, and finish the work of our founders. The calling is upon us. We, the current People, of the United States of America must act now or we are going to lose our country.
I think we can and should do this. It's a good country. It was already great. That is being lost.
