You could not get a better indicator of just how corrupt america has become than this billionaire trying to buy votes. MAGA Make America Greedy Again.
Billionaire Elon Musk has offered swing state voters a chance to win $1 million every day until the November 5 election, which has sparked questions over the legality of the new move, with Democratic Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro calling it "deeply concerning."

Musk—the owner of X, formerly Twitter, and CEO of Tesla who has endorsed former President Donald Trump in this year's presidential election—unveiled a new prize for signers of an online petition from his pro-Trump America PAC, which he has already given at least $75 million to, during his town hall event in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, which he held on Saturday in support of the Republican presidential nominee.

Well, on the plus side, the connection between money and politics has become so blatant and distasteful that hopefully it will spur some people to make changes.

Elon Musk pouring all of that money into this presidential race is probably the main reason why the polls have been shifting towards favoring Trump. If Trump wins this presidential election, it will likely be mainly because of Musk.
 
At least is his own money, unlike paying off student loans with taxpayers to buy votes.

I'll take money from both of them, then vote for Chase Oliver or Jill Stein based on a coin toss ... good capitalist that I am. 😛
 
This is the ultimate and logical outcome of the Citizens United decision by the totally corrupt political right wing Supreme Court, namely that a presidential election can literally be bought. The nation has now become every bit as corrupt as the average Third World tyranny. God help us, but since there is no God, there is no one to help. Trump has now become just like his great hero Putin whereby the votes of th “opposition” simply no longer make any difference.
 
I still cannot figure out what his end game is with that online petition.

Other than just generating MAGA online traffic.

Tried to imagine the angle here....
I suppose it would be like Soros working with Gates to go into a swing state and offering a million-dollar lottery prize to one person a day that required registration or signing up to vote and also required signing a PAC petition to support LGBTQ and banning assault rifles. Can't even fathom the backlash at FOX over something like that.
Blatantly unethical at a bare minimum.

Democrats who had no issue with Mark Zuckerberg spending hundreds of millions in get out the vote in primarily Democrat districts in swing states in 2020 all of a sudden act like it's a threat to democracy when Elon Musk does it.

Of course now they'll pay some lip service to it but we all know 4 years ago they could care less because it benefited their side.
 
Is this legal? probably.
The optics? Yeah, not good.
 
Twitter cannot be neutral with Musk owning it.
