I think it's pretty much a given that those who seek high office do so because they have massive egos--this goes for liberals, conservatives, moderates, etc... Why do you think the richest man in the world is bothering with looking into social security fraud? What is his endgame?

People just want to be creative, useful and productive and do neat stuff. We live in an amazing time period. Who wouldn't want to be an inventor and be at the cutting edge of technology? Elon already has money, he don't need any more. What people confuse as blind ambition is that he just want's to serve an important role so his productivity and reach gets scaled up and he's able to do more for everyone.

I believe the only thing he actually cares about is his vision of two Starships launching every day for round trips to Mars. I do believe he wants this for the betterment of humanity, however it also is the only thing he actually cares about. This vision will cost many trillions of dollars, and I believe all of his current actions are 100% in service of positioning himself to make it a reality.

I think it's bad when the same person is:
1. The richest man in the world
2. The President of the United States
3. A major player (although currently not the leader) in the most important emerging technology, in this case AI.

That is far more power than any human being should have. Elon Musk is certainly no altruist and needs to be reined in.

I'll wait for some results to base an opinion on.

I don't think anyone on the left gives a shit about George Soros.
Well, not anymore, as he seems to have given up on the democrats fully taking over the US government. Although, I think his son still donated large amounts of money to the last election. Still, when George Soros was donating large amounts of money to the democrats and the right was bitching about it, the left fully supported the oligarch billionaire Soros with lots of love. Now, I think a lot of Big Donors and Big Money will no longer find its way to the left. The left might have to return to appealing to the people again. That will prove to be extremely difficult with the current democrat narratives.

No one on the left ever gave a shit about George Soros.

We have different recollections. I remember the left calling anyone who criticized Soros an anti-semite, but that was when the left loved the Jews. Maybe George Soros fell out of favor when the left fell in love with the Palestinians. Poor George was left shaking his head thinking "This is how those morons thank me for helping them try to takeover the US government?" I think the biggest problem of the democrats is they are not able to hold a political position on anything and generally just piss off everyone. Not a good way to stay relevant and hope to win elections going forward.

Just trying to make the United States a better place.

What drew you to the conclusion that he isn't an altruist? His contributions to mankind have altruistic qualities. What has he done that you determine to be disqualifying?

The things I listed. He is already the richest man in the world, worth $300 billion, yet he continues to accumulate power by becoming president and making a play for AI dominance. There is no reason that any human being needs that much power.

🤣🤣🤣. Now that’s a good one
OK. Then I propose we raise taxes on George Soros and everyone in his income bracket. It's the perfect opportunity for you to own the libs, who love him so much. Consider me owned!

Libs like being owned. It’s in their DNA.

Oh. Well then, I propose we raise the taxes of Elon Musk and everyone in his tax bracket, so you can not-own-the-libs. That will really make us sad.

No, since getting the US into better financial shape will help him accomplish his various personal goals.

If you think Musk is doing anything for altruistic reasons then you haven't been paying attention for the last 50 years.

Musk craves power and that's what he's getting.

If we are lucky enough to ever see another regime change, I have some ideas about what a legal response to his actions should look like.

So, according to your thought process, nobody should be looking into SS fraud?.....government waste or fraud? The real question is why does the left support fraud, waste, and overspending?

I agree most politicians are corrupt or become corrupt and the number one reason is the sheer size of our federal government. Just in these short few weeks we see how they shuffle and manipulate the monies around. Too many friends, family, and donors are getting filthy rich off the taxpayer. Isn't there ever going to be a time to cut out this behavior?

You impugned his motivates based on him being rich and has in your judgement too much power. Neither of those things says anything about his motives.

The impression i get from him is that he wants to improve mankind. Him and Trump may be driven by their desire for a lasting legacy.

You have not presented any evidence that his motives are not altruistic

Why is that bank robber casing the bank? Why is he mapping out how to break into the bank vault? What's his end game?

We need to seriously stop pretending there's a mystery here.
