I dont. And when you see the mountains of wasteful spending that we KNOW is happening combined with the knowledge that we are a nation in a massive debt sinkhole, continuing to dig deeper makes no sense. It just doesnt.

As for whether USAID (I think your numbers there are wrong-the actual number USAID alone distributed in 2023 is 43.8 billion) is the right place to start, Id say pretty much every place you look is a right place to start. Programs like USAID may very well have been beneficial...once upon a time. But what have they accomplished? In Africa, all they manage to do is grow status quo. Every year things get WORSE there...not better...and the US for some strange reason is carrying the massive workload of supporting a CONTINENT.

HOW? How do we do that? How do we sustain that? Its not possible.

Every department should be cut...significantly. Every dollar spent should be reexamined. We shouldnt be funding efforts to transform other countries cultures to match ours...because ours right now is pretty ****ed up. We shouldnt be funding anything unless it can be shown to be effective and necessary.
