Elizabeth Warren has won the Des Moines Register endorsement in Iowa.

They’re neutral in the sense that they separate the pages that report the news from the pages that specifically deliver opinion.’

If that’s giving you trouble, ask yourself why Fox News separates their “news” from political pundits.
I dont think its appropiate for fox to endorse anyone either

Elizabeth Warren has just won the endorsement of the Des Moines Register in Iowa. Do you think it will aid her in her campaign any? Help her to win the democratic nomination for President? A general election victory if she were to make it that far, and win the democratic nomination for President?

Don't think it would help her at all?

Is a waste of an endorsement?

Think someone else should have gotten it? That it could have benefited someone else better than it may or will benefit her? Personally I don't think the endorsement will be enough to get her the democratic nomination for President.

Not all endorsements are enough to bring a candidate an election victory in my opinion -- and her endorsement may not be enough to bring her a victory in her pursuit of the democratic nomination for President.

Do you think the endorsement will help her win Iowa in the democratic primary election for President?

I think the endorsement may have been better suited for Joe Biden to receive it, as he seems like he may get the state of Iowa in the democratic primary for President as of now. It would better bolster his position to potentially win the democratic nomination for President, than help her receive it at this point in her campaign and as of how her campaign has been declining in performance as of late

Aren't lily white descendants of Chief Blackbird from Iowa?

She's the best candidate. But, I kind of doubt that the misogyny will be overcome.

Right. But I think winning Iowa can at times be good for a spring-boarding effect, especially if it's a lessor known but popular candidate that's well-liked but thought of as unlikely to prevail.

That's exactly what occurred with Barack Obama, in '08. He gained legitimacy that he could indeed take-out Clinton, and key support from African-American leaders & leadership orgs left Clinton & threw their weight behind him. The rest is history.

Today, the same thing could happen if Buttigieg pulled-off an Iowan upset. It would not be quite that easy to prevail in places like SC, but Buttigieg would gain instant name recognition, credibility, and gravitas.

Wasn't it Bill Clinton that finished third in Iowa, but became known as the comeback kid because he wasn't expected to do that good. Or was that NH? Yes, Iowa can catapult one to the front, but it has to be followed up with a win in NH or the momentum from Iowa is lost. South Carolina isn't going to change regardless of who does well or wins in Iowa and NH. Biden is the choice of blacks, he has between 50-55% support of blacks and blacks make up over 50% of the Democratic primary vote in SC. Another state where Biden leads, Nevada, blacks make up over 30% of the primary vote.

You can't underestimate the importance of the black vote in the Democratic primaries. Blacks make up approximately a third of all Democratic Primary voters nationwide. Hillary Clinton road the black vote to the nomination in 2016. Sanders actually edged out Hillary in the white vote. Obama road the black vote to the nomination in 2008, Hillary won the white vote. With a bunch of Super Tuesday states in the south where blacks make up a fourth to a half of the Democratic primary vote, Biden could be entrench as the front runner with a good sized lead after Super Tuesday.

I don't have the break down by states, but nationwide by the candidates support by race, whites Warren 23%, Biden 20%, Sanders 18%, Buttigieg 10%. Blacks Biden 50%, Warren 14%, Sanders 12%, Buttigieg 2%. Hispanics, Warren 28%, Biden 23%, Sanders 19%, Buttigieg 8%. The above is very dynamic, changes all the time. But Biden has had the steady support of blacks between 50-55% for the last 6 months. I don't see that changing in the next month.
