I say: more or less, because one hardly ever thinks any government completely ok.

All of the ones on that list except Russia and Belarus. They are all more-or-less democratic, although Poland saw a little bit of backsliding in the past few years prior to the Ukraine War.

One consequence of the Ukraine War that I did not anticipate is that it seems to be a democratizing force in Eastern Europe, as countries turn their attention westward. Ukraine, Moldova, and Poland are all more democratic now than they were at the outset of the war.

So bad things can sometimes lead to good things.

For Moldava there is the danger of a Russian invasion.

The head of the Information and Security Service of Moldova, Alexandru Mustiata, believes that Russia may invade Moldova in 2023 but this will depend on the events in Ukraine.

"The question is not whether Russia will launch a new offensive in the Moldovan direction but when it will happen: in early 2023, January and February, or later, in March, April," Mustiata said in an interview with TVR Moldova.

On your list, all of them are OK except -- of course !!! ---Russia and its toady Belarus.

Pretty much everybody's OK except Russia and Belarus.

I could not vote because there was no option for none. On the Ukraine business just about all my arguments are in favour of Russia, but I dont find its government ok either. I should be able to find an ok government, I am not sure why I cant pick any. Maybe eastern europe just happens to be too alien to me.

I couldnt vote for Russia either. Even though on Ukraine just about the totality of my arguments are pro Russia!

Poland, Belarus, and Russia are objectionable amongst the ones listed.

Hungary belongs there also.

The West should be aiding Armenia against Azerbaijan and not the other way around, but that's what happens when realpolitik overrules actual principles.

Hungry with Ukraine the worst.
Our friend & his wife took a river cruise up the Danube last summer. One of the ports was Budapest, Hungary. They were also in Bratislava, Slovakia. His wife said it was the first time in years she felt safe in a city at night.

These two demographically pure cities were both clean as a whistle.

Slovakia & Hungary and Poland--the former empire that saved Europe
under the direction of King Jan Sobieski who the Pope hailed as the saviour
of Western Christendom.

So: I find Poland, Hungary and Slovakia more or less OK!

Theres very few of those that arent fundie reactionary hellholes.

I'm OK.
They're OK.
