I guess you didn't even bother to look at the data in your link, which shows that deaths in care homes decreased to 60% of the peak level shown in your OP just two weeks later (or maybe you did look and deliberately chose not to show the most recent information. Because, why be honest?).

The interesting thing about your post is how you divided the total number of deaths from all causes during Week 4 by the number of deaths involving COVID-19 in Week 1 in order to come up with that 250% increase.

The actual increase in all deaths is calculated by dividing the number of deaths in Week 4 by the number of deaths in Week 1 and that increase is 16.79%.

Now I will admit that an 16.79% sounds like a lot, but the increase between Week 1 and Week 2 is 3.14%, the increase between Week 2 and Week 3 is 10.40% and the increase between Week 3 and Week 4 is 2.56%.

The actual increase in deaths due to COVID-19 is calculated by dividing the number of COVID-19 deaths in Week 4 by the number of COVID-19 deaths in Week 1, and that increase is 82.85%.

Now I will admit that an 82.85% sounds like a lot, but the increase between Week 1 and Week 2 is 25.474%, the increase between Week 2 and Week 3 is 37.52% and the increase between Week 3 and Week 4 is 5.96%.

Considering the time lag between infection and death, it most certainly does appear that the vaccinations completed by the last week of December have resulted in a "slight" decrease in the number of deaths.

But, then again, I have to actually do the math myself because I don't have someone to tell me what I am supposed to be thinking based on the numbers that they tell me are correct and I am unable to do the elementary arithmetic necessary in order to determine that their "numbers" are large piles of well aged and steaming male bovine excrement.

Clearly stated . However I have been informed by an expert that the interpretation is valid .
I am a messenger and it is up to individuals to a determine risk .

Earlier today I received an email from a pal who is sceptical about everything that is non consensus in the context of a video I had mailed to him :-
